Cutrado the bartender 5 star Matthew and Armandt at the front desk 5 star Closeness to gaslamp and the beach super convenient. Book in advance for a great rate and thank me later. This hotel really has all you can ask for in a super convenient clean well served experienced. Thank you Dexter will be back for sure.

Location was good but the entrance of the hotel so uncomfortable that corner with that traffic was horrible also the elevator to get to our floor every time we take it we need to scan the card very annoying and the room horrible the bed really uncomfortable no enough lights in the room my wife had a hard time to put her makeup also the bathroom was the worse experience ever that bathtub just plain with floor really bad we can't enjoy a bath knowing that all the water is going out and the sheets so thin and too much noise everywhere. Although all employees was nice and friendly.

Good Value - Great Location, Ok Stay

Very good location for the price. The immediate area did not seem very good but when we walked about a block up to the Little Italy area, it changed dramatically. It is very accessible, right off the highway, however, this caused a gridlock during busy travel times. Very close to SeaWorld and the Zoo and many other attractions. We were able to walk to the coast (about 3/4 of a mile) and many places we ate, we walked to. I did not and will not ever like parking charges for guests staying at the hotel. It was $38 a night and the spots under the hotel were so small and was not able to accommodate anything larger than a large sedan. There are larger spots in the upper parking but limited. There were also maintenance issues. The elevator was out 2 out of the 5 nights that we stayed which made it miserable to leave or go anywhere. Stairs were not an option with 2 seniors and 2 small children traveling with us. The door was also broken at one point. In addition, we stayed 5 nights. They indicated that the rooms were fully serviced every 2 days. My son stained the sheets one morning and I asked the front desk to turn over the room and when we walked in, it looked like it was fully turned over, I noticed that the sheets were not replaced as requested because the stain was still there. He also wet the bed and we asked for another sheet switch and I am not sure if this was communicated correctly but when she came in, she didn't know why she was there which was a little frustrating.

I booked for 2 nights, and stayed in 3 different rooms…. First room was leaking water through the ceiling @ 1:00am so I had to move rooms. Second room they moved me into, the AC wasn’t working and felt like a sauna in there. Third room was even crazier. The guy at the front desk gave us a room that was OCCUPIED by a staff member doing maintenance in there.. I walked in to his tools on the bed, a ladder up, and his computer open.. Then he moved me into the next room over, WHERE PEOPLE WERE SLEEPING IN… and then finally, gave me an open room. Mind you during all of this, I had all my bags & luggage in my hand. All happening during 1-3:00am. It was ridiculous. If you wanna get technical, I moved a total of 5 times in 2 days.. I didn’t even sleep in 1 room for 24hr. Wouldn’t recommend staying here and I for sure won’t be back. I DO RECOMMEND the Carté in Gaslamp district!
