It was okay for the price. Parking is $40 a day, not included in Expedia price. It seems more secure inside a structure which is nice. Beds and pillows are comfortable and clean like something you would find in a higher price point hotel. Very roomy though and includes microwave, small fridge. Could use a slight update in the rooms in my opinion. Staff were not super friendly, but not rude. 5 minute drive to a really nice upscale outdoor shopping area with nice dining options.

The room was dirty. Hair on the bathroom floors and a brown stain of some sort on the carpet that reminded us of poop everytime we walked past it. The room was advertised as having a balcony but it was screwed shut. We were comped free breakfasts but they should have offered us a different room

Twilight Zone: San Diego

The whole neighborhood feels like a dystopian resort city, as if it were once a popular area but has declined in the past few years. So, where to begin? There are tons of hotels, but parking costs a fortune, and so does the lobby cafe that has no visible price tags. Tip: Bring your own water unless you enjoy paying nearly $20 for a couple of bottles. Our room? Not great. It smelled like mildew, there were ants all over the bathroom, and the furniture was stained and wobbly. We took a walk to the mall via the bike path, which involved passing some homeless camps and a bit of sketchy activity. The mall itself was a weird experience; it's literally falling apart, yet has surprisingly high-end stores. I had to stay in the area for reasons, but next time I’ll definitely know better and pick somewhere else.

Truly disappointing

I was baffled by the lack of urgency for any request. We booked this location for the indoor pool specifically and I brought towels for kids and in the rush to get them settled missed the fact they did not have any towels available. My husband went to tell them and 30 minutes later nothing. He went to get food thinking it was resolved… I was able to ask an employee who happened to be walking into the gym area and he said he would follow-up, mind you it was about the 40 minute mark since requesting and still nothing. I waited 10 more minutes before getting as dry as possible to then walk to the elevator without leaving too much of a mess. In the room a similar issue with the number of towels. You would think a reservation for 4 means you are guaranteed 4 towels. After the lack of care to start I made due with what we had so I wasn’t stuck waiting hours. The next morning I went to fill up water bottles in the gym, which they said was only area and it did not work. I went by desk and was met with an employee who could care less. She acted like I was crazy when I asked for a possible time frame on the issue being addressed said when it is. I asked again and nothing besides we are busy. Not even a call made. The lack of basic courtesy was disappointing. I will avoid this location in the future. Not to mention the ridiculous fee for parking.
