Check in - could be quicker why the need to forward Expedia email etc when already have details on system Room - lovely big and week presented, high quality bedding robes toiletries, powerful hair dryer,water replenished almost daily only 1 day no housekeeping in a week. Pool large area always sun beds and loungers, order drinks from scanning we code at bed. Gardens well maintained and pool area washed down daily. Restaurant- Saturday night was amazing range and quality however by Monday it went way down hill, lots of dried up food, less choice. Huge amount of PORK and little else. The pork wasn’t always CLEARLY labelled, and put into far too many dishes. Breakfast was constantly good and able to order set dishes or help self to buffet. The hotel app is a bit difficult to navigate at first but then get used to it to book in for dinner each day. Service - they’re are a lot of staff in the restaurant standing about talking and I did hear them talking negatively about guests, maybe they be better stiring the food so it’s not dried up. Apart from this I lived the hotel and will defiantly return

I like the location with easy access to Yumbo and a few nice dining areas. The property had limited parking but street parking always available and free. It was off season so very quite and adults only was a bonus. The breakfast was good but repeated everyday so could only have for a couple mornings. Rooms very clean and spacious

Probably one to give a miss

This hotel needs to spend some money on the rooms, first room flooded, second room was like a cardboard box and heard everything. Typical spanish hospital spend money making downstairs look nice and leave the rooms. Never met such an arrogant receptionist either. This was not a cheap night at around 400€ a night. So you would expect better

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The safe were all so polite and knowledgeable in their area of work. The food was plentiful and enjoyable. Only one criticism is that some of the food wasn't hot enough for my liking but if you ask staff they would warm it. I need a gluten free diet and the staff where so helpful. Fabulous idea to have an app so we could order what we wanted. So much to choose from. I would definitely return to the resort and recommend the hotel.

Disappointing

Food was cold every night,we complained and had a 45 minute meeting with a manager but nothing changed.we paid £3000 for this hotel and it was a rip off ,first day the noise from the sister hotel was deafening,we were at the quiet pool and couldn’t hear ourselves speak .We complained and it was turned down,it is not in our opinion an adult only ,there is only a small wooden fence between the children’s entertainment and this hotel.Totally disappointing,I went for my special birthday and was so let down.Management was inefficient and most could not speak English only Spanish so trying to communicate was useless,the cleaners need retraining,I left bits on the floor of the bathroom and they stayed there,awful. Every night I drew attention to the fact the food was cold ,undercooked and raw inside ,nothing was done or improved,this is a true statement,very disappointing

Great hotel. Perfect location for the Yumbo Centre and around a half hour walk to the start of the dunes. Lovely, helpful staff. Rooms were spotless and have everything you need. Swimming pool was excellent, even for doing lengths, and the pool and sunbeds never felt too busy. Good food too.

Few teething issues

Would have given five stars, but there were some issues: 1. Noise Disruptions: Early morning disturbances from the garden staff using a leaf blower around 7 am woke me up. Later, there was the noise of tree-cutting activities on October 29th and 30th, as well as constant noise from the children’s activity area. The early noise really impacted the experience, as mornings are meant to be peaceful. 2. Initial Room Issues: Room 2005 was disappointing, with poor views of the car park and constant noise from the laundry truck and staff walking by. A loud laundry truck departing at 10:35 pm was particularly disruptive. Thankfully, I was moved to a different room after the first night. 3. Unruly Guests: On October 28th, a group of guests became disruptive, likely due to drinking. They played loud music and disturbed the area around the cabanas, impacting the atmosphere significantly. Top Tip: Download the Barceló app – it’s incredibly helpful for organizing your stay. Check-In: Check-in took longer than expected due to only one staff member, Jorge, handling the desk while the other two desks were free. It took 20 minutes to check in, where I received wristbands for room access and access to the RL area. Staff Excellence: Marta at the front desk in the morning was fantastic. Borge in the RL dining area also provided excellent service. Room Quality: My initial room, 2005, overlooked the car park, main street, and laundry entrance. The layout was poor, with terrible lighting

Really lovely hotel with fabulous staff. I opted for breakfast only as there are some great restaurants within walking distance. The royal level pool is really nice and you can order drinks via the app if you download it. The other part of the hotel has a nice pool bar as well. Well located, about 25 mins walk to both Playa del Inglés (though the walk back up the hill wasn’t the best in the heat) and the Dunes which were spectacular at sunrise. The hotel runs a shuttle bus to and from the beach if you don’t fancy the walk.

Brilliant Holiday - Highly recommended

We had a brilliant stay in a family room all inclusive. Bit of a tip for anyone booking this hotel, ask for a family room x034, this will give you a slightly bigger room. Nothing wrong at all with the room we had was 3035. Food Breakfast is superb, fresh crepes, waffles, omelette, fresh bread. You name it, fresh honey. Its superb. Lunch Lunch was great with pizza, salads, a different roast meat, we made baguette sarnies with the meat. Dinner Differentvthemes every night lots of options for everyone too much to list. Snack Bar This is open 12- 6pm and this has burgers (freshly made with mince inhouse delicious.) Hot dog pizza pasta, chips . Ice cream. Not a bad word to say 2 family pools, the larger one is heated very well. All in all a great holiday . And the staff here were credit to Barceló. Evening entertainment hit and miss. Drinks were amazing, cocktails freshly made in front of you and a Cruzcampo beer tap all day long. Soft drinks self serve Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta Orange , Fanta Lemon. Thanks again for an amazing holiday

Barcelo Margaritas - Royal Level was my third hotel in the Maspalomas area and by far the best. The hotel, facilities, food quality and service were by far the best (5-star quality). We picked the half-board option which included buffet breakfast and the option of lunch (a la carte) or dinner (buffet-style) at their Royal-Level restaurant (La Palapa). Other restaurants were also available but honestly not needed because the food at La Palapa was the best food I've had in all Maspalomas restaurants we tried. Super highly recommended. The only downside was the WIFI didn't worked in our room, possibly because we had a corner room. Which I'm sure it could've been fixed but we were so busy that we barely stayed in the room, other than to sleep.
