Hi! For context this is my first time in Salt Lake City and I was solo traveling. I found Maven Stay, maybe after two months of them opening. My main attraction to this particular location was the easy access to food, in case I didn’t feel like leaving the place. Firstly, thank you to the Maven crew! This place is well designed and upkept. The instructions were clear and standard. The mishaps I had were purely because I didn’t read them correctly lol. When I got into the place, it was clean and fully stocked with more than what I thought I needed. Shoutout to women! Women have a manner of being prepared and efficient that *sometimes* men won’t think of. From the coffee to the tampons in the bathroom, there were small details that I can appreciate! The place was so quiet, I thought the residents may have been out of town lol. The community (few blocks) are weekly established and kept clean. Something I didn’t know about SLC was the homeless community, BUT I can say I never felt unsafe while walking around the city and neighboring areas. I’ve been to Phoenix and LA and had no encounters, compared to those cities. I highly recommend Maven for any woman, solo traveler, or traveler period!

Maven Stay was a wonderful experience! The unit was very clean and comfortable. There were many thoughtful details such as a full kitchen and washer dryer hair dryer, cookware, a gym across the hall from us as well as shared outdoor space. They even had dish soap and laundry tablets, a cushy looking bed for your dog if you brought one with you. We loved our stay.

Overall enjoyable stay, the staffless hotel is less than ideal. After a long day of travel my key code didn’t work to my room, but did for bulding and elevator. Slow, frustrating process to resolve with no live person to talk to, even on the phone. Made me anxious to leave, worried I would be locked out

This place is secure, safe, and clean! I loved having a washer/dryer in the room. My only real complaint is that their help line only provides the same info that is in their email. So when I had a unique problem (the wifi pass and then the wifi router being down), it seemed like I wasn't gonna get that amenity at all. In the end someone on their Expedia account did help me out.

Being a staffless hotel posed some difficulties. I arrived to an unlocked- open apartment that was not finished being cleaned. Later that evening I also noticed that the sliding patio door was not secure and could not be locked. Toilet seat was cracked which pinched the bum when using the facility. Other than those issues the property was great. I was contacted once, a day later and then never heard from the staff again to resolve the issues after I had left a phone message and two emails.

I recently stayed at Maven Stay, and while the experience wasn’t the absolute worst, several cleanliness and communication issues made it disappointing. There were leftover items in the shower from a previous guest, the floors didn’t appear to be swept, and there was hair in multiple areas—including the shower. There was no welcome packet provided, which seems to be the main reference point for assistance. Since the hotel is staff-less, the only phone number available is meant for help accessing the building or room—not for resolving in-stay issues. Wi-Fi wasn’t available—presumably because login details were in the missing welcome packet—which was frustrating. Initially, we were only given one bath towel for a two-person, six-night stay. After I contacted the hotel through Expedia, someone came to deliver more towels and removed the items left in the shower. However, hair was still visible in the shower and other parts of the room, and there was no follow-up communication—just an automated email reiterating that the hotel is staff-less and referring us to the same phone number, which points back to the (missing) welcome packet. I hope these concerns are addressed for future guests. With no on-site staff, it’s crucial that everything is properly in place at check-in. Attention to detail is clearly lacking.

The property was in a nice area and very clean. There were crystals and other demonic items in the rental. Also, the a/c was slow at cooling the rental. Overall, a pretty space but some personal discomfort with the way it was decorated.
