This was the perfect place for my group and our needs. Enough beds with options; a dark, quiet room in the basement, a shared room with a two full beds, the top floor king size suite, even a pull out sofa! All useful accommodations for a party of 5 or more. To top it off, the roof top hot tub with a city skyline view was incredible! It was a great location too, in walking distance to our venue in South Philly. Everything worked out perfectly, and I'm grateful that this option was available. Thank you!

I had very high expectations for this top rated hotel. But our first night there we found filthy bedding. Once we called management, they immediately sent staff to redress this. This particular staff member repeatedly knocked on our door as I was on the phone with the manager. Unable to get to the door to let them in, the staff member burst into my room without my permission. Good thing I wasn't naked! :) Anyway, the next day, after returning from a long afternoon walk, I found dirty hand towels in the bathroom! Come on!! Really?? I don't know what's going on at The Rittenhouse Hotel, but my stay was very disappointing. I was told by management that they'd contact Expedia for a partial refund. Will not recommend The Rittenhouse Hotel to family or friends. Sorry. If it's any consolation, the spa and indoor pool, was was very nice, clean, and well-maintained.
