Round Island Vacation Packages

Although ‘soap’ was included in the bathroom, no shower soap, nor shampoo, was available….handsoap only. This unit is probably OK for a single traveler, but not for couples. Cheap furnishings and poor craftsmanship of finish work…trim, flooring, paint, etc. No air conditioning…just a small ceiling fan, with the pull-chain out of reach to adjust the speed. Regular size bed was mattress only, no box springs. Price was unreasonable for this property. Not impressed and will not return.

Everything was amazing

Island House Hotel is our favorite place to stay in the island. The staff is always very friendly and attentive, the location is ideal for attractions on Main Street and offers the best view of the harbor, and the restaurants offer exceptional cuisine.

Pool area was in need of floor repair and too few chairs available for those watching kids, but not wanting to swim. Carpet in room, hallways and stairs could use a cleaning, but not terrible. Body wash in shower would not work. Staff was helpful with arranging pick up for shuttle to Mackinac Island. View of the water was pretty. Could have used another chair in room that was more comfy and not plastic. Bed/pillows were adequate, but not especially comfortable. Breakfast was typical for similar hotels.

Breakfast is a high carb! No eggs or meat. For the price you pay it should have been a lot better. We stayed 2 nights, got clean towels, but Did not replace any coffee or cream or sugar in the room. Woke up the second morning to no coffee in our room. It is an older building and very noisy. We were on the first floor so we heard and felt every footstep. It is a nice place, but just a pricey for what you get.
