Our 4 night stay was very disappointing.
The double room photo on both Expedia and the hotels own website is misleading. There is only one photograph of a double room and It clearly shows an outdoor seating area, one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Our room was on the front with a standard window. They told us that only 2/10 rooms actually had the outside seating. The hotel also does not post room size in sq.m. The photos posted made the room appear much more spacious than ours actually seemed.
The room itself was clean, recently renovated and comfortable enough except for the ( sagging) bed and the cramped space. The bathroom was good. There really are no amenities. There was a mini bar, but it was not fully stocked or maintained. Reception availability was part-time. The hotel does not provide breakfast, there is no coffee service and although there are many restaurants in the area, it is a several blocks to find coffee or breakfast in the morning. WiFi was a total disaster. We seldom had connection in our room, and regularly has to sit in the hotel stairway to have adequate connection.
Our one attempt to have the hotel book a taxi was met with both a lack of enthusiasm and lack of confidence that we would actually get one. The hotel was not able to provide information on nearby taxi stands, even though we found one a few blocks away on Nationale. Toiletries…bring your own..two small bottles for 4 nights. There are so many better choices that Artorius.
