"Great ski weekend at Purgatory"
The front staff at check-in was outstanding. Everything was clearly outlined. We had no trouble finding our room. The room was exceptionally clean. I would have given 5 stars for everything, but the bed in the master room was not a king, as advertised, and it was extremely uncomfortable. The sofa sleeper was so uncomfortable that my kids ended up requesting additional blankets and slept on the floor. Other than that, it was a lovely room. It was also a very quiet place to stay. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed.

"Close to river and Applebee's!"
We brought our dogs, there was a lot of walking and pet friendly paths. We were able to nap with the kids and there was lots to do since we had the option of the pool and being close to nature/parks for picnics! The people were friendly and many families stayed here. Hot tub was nice for the end of the day. We enjoyed, the local grocery stores which had fresh veggies and snacks other than fast food. Albertsons & city market are within walking distance. I liked the location just for that reason!

"Cute homely hotel on the outskirts of Durango"
Manager Jeff was a pleasure to talk with and was super understanding. The hound lady, Anaya I believe, was great and even served me with a smile at 4:30 in the morning when we checked in. Great hotel would recommend 10/10 times.

"Decent stay for a decent price "
We were there Fri-Sat night for soccer tournament. We booked this months ago, luckily, because the prices everywhere for this tournament were sky high, but we got a decent price especially considering what our teammates paid. PROS: Check in was quick and competent, but not particularly welcoming. We stayed in room 102, it's quite close to the lobby/breakfast area, ice & vending machine but it was surprisingly quite considering they were fully booked. You could hear some occasional creaking footsteps from the hallway above so if your sensitive to that stuff, try for a higher floor. The room was newly painted and had modern furniture and linen. We actually got 4 pillows per bed instead of the usual 2 flat ones. Breakfast was sufficient for a "continental", dry cereal, toast, apple/orange/bananas, oatmeal, yogurt, prepackaged pastry, coffee, juice and a make your own waffle station. The attendant was really attentive about keeping it well stocked. Microwave, fridge, one cup coffee maker, blow dryer and iron in room. CONS: The AC didn't work that great. It got pretty warm overnight and we had to open up the window in addition to having it on high. If the weather had been warmer this may have been a really big deal. The window of this room (and all even number rooms) faces the main road and the sunrise and the curtains did not keep all the light out, so if I had really wanted to sleep in that may have been an issue. Couldn't really use the WiFi - too slow. We spent mo

"Paid for the view"
The hotel itself is beautiful. The facilities from the front desk, the elevators, the hallways, pool, workout facility, and especially the location on the river. However the room was average and sparsely furnished. It was clean though and the bathroom was very nice. The star was the balcony overlooking the river with a beautiful aspen tree right outside. I'm torn as to how to rate our stay. The hotel itself and the balcony setting were stunning, but the room was average and soap and shampoo were not replenished one day and coffee not replenished the next, we even had to contact the front desk because they hadn't replenished the toilet paper! Overall I believe we were happy but I feel it was WAY overpriced all things considered.

Rockwood is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Rockwood, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Rockwood hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
