I stayed just over 2 weeks and really enjoyed my stay. The facility appears new and modern, with a beautiful rooftop patio. The room was beautiful: daily housekeeping, confortable bed, great water pressure - no complaints. I also enjoyed the location, very easy to take the bus or subway to outside tourist spots but also getting a more local experience in the centro area. It is close to Lapa - the party district (sometimes music can be heard at night so I would bring ear plugs if your a light sleeper). Next door there was construction, and they worked at odd times and were very loud (this was the only inconvenience but this has nothing to do with the hotel). Otherwise, everything was perfect and i felt safe as a solo traveler.

They don’t attend by phone in English.

I had an issue with dates when I first booked and hotels.com tried to resolve it by phone for me to no avail. The property would not answer or if they did the hotel management would not be available. When i arrived at the property I walked in and found both managers at front desk. I told them about my issue and they promptly took care of it.

Good but...

Great location and nice easy hotel. However beware that it is really noisy. You can hear the noise from the tram and on the weekend we stayed there was a show so noise all night and a sport event with loud music early morning . Great view from the balcony

It’s Centro Rio. Expect to see beggars and smell bad everywhere. It’s 10 min walk to metro via rundown streets. Staff were not impolite but no greetings nor happy face. Rooms are ok - very basic.

This property was recently renovated. Although the room is small, its quite cute and it has Sugarloaf Mountain view. Sad that there is no bidet in their toilet but I will forgive them since their toilet is clean. I find the hotel price a bit expensive for a basic hotel like them. They should provide at least continental breakfast set for that.
