Don’t book if you are looking for a nice place to stay , if you are ok with mid looking spots than go ahead.To me it had potential to be a beautiful place but they didn’t build it correctly from the start. Things look very poorly built floors are cracked and the pool looked dingy.The staff was nice tho but I didn’t want to eat there type of vibe.

Don’t waste your time or money. I do travel a lot for work & for vacation so I have stayed in many resorts and hotels. I do pay attention to the past reviews, so that being said……. The phrase “all inclusive,” doesn’t apply here. Said kayaks and snorkeling on site. Guess what? You have to pay for any activity you want to do. When I chose this resort I assumed that the beach would be pretty decent. Nope, muddy water, basically no trees or umbrellas for shade. Plastic basic lounge chairs. Not appealing in the least bit. The first day we were there we walked down to beach, looked around & was like “EHH, nothing great here.” Pool area was nice, but again basic loungers. Food at the main buffet was horrible. Breakfast, lunch & dinner sucked. Eggs were overcooked, meats overcooked, some of the dishes looked like they used scraps & mixed them together. Dessert was just as bad. I could tell none of the desserts were made in house. If you have ever heard of Ponderosa then this was the place. Many guests were loud & rude. Steakhouse is a joke. Husband got a steak, was supposed to be “medium”. Came back well done shoe leather. AC in the room stunk of mildew. So it was either have the door open for fresh hot air or breathe in mold spores. Take your pick. Towels are old & felt like drying off with sandpaper. Each day the resort smelled like sewer. Only plus was that the staff was friendly & very accommodating. Save your cash and go somewhere else.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at mVillas Tamarindo! From the moment we arrived, the villa was beautiful, comfortable and exactly what our family needed for our Costa Rica vacation. We especially loved having our own private pool and plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The villa was a perfect home base for us while exploring Tamarindo, going on excursions, enjoying the beach and spending quality time together as a family. The location was convenient, the surroundings were peaceful, and we truly felt at home during our stay. Some of our favorite moments were simply being together at the villa, relaxing by the pool and enjoying the beautiful Costa Rican atmosphere. Our family left with so many wonderful memories, and mVillas was a big part of the experience. We would definitely recommend it to families or groups visiting Tamarindo and would happily stay again. 10000/10 Javier was a wonderful host, would highly recommend. He was very accommodating, very helpful with local suggestions. We had issues finding the location, he even went to go find us. Absolutely wonderful experience. The dome was one of the coolest experiences we’ve had yet.
