This is a lovely historic hotel in the ideal location in downtown Durango. The two taverns with live music had good food and drinks but we mostly enjoyed the music. The whole hotel has such an elegant decor. We loved our stay and would recommend this hotel.

A touch warm in our room but I think it was because we were above the vapor cave. Other than that great property

After a long drive it was such a fun surprise to see the welcoming birthday decor and balloons in our unit. The chocolates and congratulations handwritten note was a warm welcoming touch. The front desk staff were all nice and informative. The unit had everything we needed. Though not a super modern hotel, it didn’t feel cookie cutter. They even had a meet the staff and donuts / which we missed but got the leftover donuts since we arrived that afternoon :) We loved being able to do laundry, The convenient amenities , game room and fitness facility and hot tub we didn’t get to use much because we took train to Silverton but it was nice to know they were there. The place was very clean, the location was very convenient short walk to the station in fact train cars are stored right by the building! The walk was short and safe so that we did it multiple times with no worry.

Great start for our vacation. Had a family cabin. It was clean and comfy. Had grill on the deck and comfy chairs. Saw Mandy deer and bucks and baby deer walking right by the deck. Outdoor pool was heated. Great place to stay while taking my son to college at Fort Lewis.

This hotel is beautiful! The biggest issue was a major design flaw in our room. There as a giant skylight which was cool when the sun was out, but when it came time to sleep it was absolutely terrible. There was no way to cover it and so it was bright as can be in the room. This caused my husband and I to be completely unable to sleep, and our kids to wake up at 3:30AM one morning and 4AM the other morning. Absolutely miserable. I would suggest asking specifically for a room without the skylight. There also isn’t an elevator, and again, we have two small kids so trekking up 3 steep flights of stairs with kids and all the luggage they require wasnt great. However if it’s just you or you’re in a couple I’m sure the spa is incredible and it’s a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful hotel, just not what we needed this trip.

My husband and I stayed in one of the tents with our small dog and it was perfect! The weather was rainy and chilly, but the tent was nice and warm and dry. One thing I did not realize was they do not have hair dryers so make sure you bring your own if you need one! This was the perfect spot for me to work, the Duran Durango/Pagosa Springs area for my job and have a nice clean place to stay. Local restaurants were awesome and everyone was very friendly! We will definitely come back!
