We use to love this hotel. This trip experiences make us to rethink about this place. We weren't able to sleep both nights due to noises from refrigerator and air conditioner.

They don’t change the bedding every day. There’s a sign in the bathroom, in order to save water, the bedsheets and towels might be changed every three days!!! Means we the bedding and towels are all used by more than three people! Can you imagine how dirty it is!

Great price for what you get. They have free breakfast that’s an actual breakfast (eggs, potatoes, sausage) and other options like waffles, yogurt, muffins fruit. The front desk is helpful. Upon checking into our room there was a musty smell and they seamlessly moved us into another room that smelled fine. It was clean and comfy. It feels safe here. The pool is nice. I’ve stayed here twice now, and will again. Work out room isn’t in operating condition. With all these I’d highly recommend this place to anyone on a budget that also wants something that’s good enough. They don’t take a security deposit which is a relief cuz other places have high deposits. No bugs. No sketchy people. I’m happy with my stay overall.

Great place to stay.

My wife and I drove to Redding, from San Jose, to pick up our new car at a dealer there who had the exact car/color & price we wanted. We decided to make it an overnight getaway, so we booked a room at La Quinta. The room was large, bright and clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a TV, microwave, fridge, iron/ironing board and hair dryer. The AC/heater unit was very quiet. I didn't wake us up every time it went on. The staff was friendly, and check in and out was easy Breakfast was great with a variety of items to choose from. I would stay here again.

Poorly maintained

Poorly maintained hotel with creaking noise all doors and dirty bathrooms. Beds were okay but all amenities were in poor condition or non-functional (like microwave, hair dryer etc)

Requests for tv remote control replacement were ignored until finally a third request was answered. Exit door was continuously propped open. Informed front desk but no changes occurred. Cockroaches found in bathroom during my last night’s stay. Sticky spill in elevator was not promptly addressed. In-room coffee maker had no dispenser cup and staff said they were out. Multiple attempts to interact with staff were dismissive or there was a placard at desk stating they would be back shortly.

We took one look and left. You can see what looks like mold on the outside of building in the back and inside is so stuffy and smelled like smoke.

Room and hallways smelt like cigarette smoke. Molding was coming off around the walls. The lock on my patio door did not latch. Restaurants were good to walk to. I enjoyed the restaurant at the Best Western. I travel for work a lot and stay in a lot of hotels, will not come back to this one.
