We booked an accessible king suite for 4 nights at the Club House Hotel & Suites. Upon arrival it seamed very nice as it was only about 6 months old. The room was nice and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the room was complete as one would expect however it was nearly impossible to sleep in this room for a number of reasons. The heating system sounded like a freight train passing every 30 minutes or so with a loud compressed air surge at shut off. There was a smoke detector/co2 detector on the ceiling above the bed that had a green light on it that flashed every 11 seconds creating a strobe light effect that could be seen with eyes closed. Normally we sleep very easily under normal conditions. We did not request a different room as this was the only one with a shower only for accessibility and we had figured all rooms had the same systems. The shower water pressure was extremely low which we understand for economic and environmental concerns, but this was extreme as the head was about 4 inches diameter, horizontally mounted and the water could only extend a few inches from it. Literally impossible to get body wet and nearly impossible to rinse.
Some of the staff were outstanding and accommodating and some were low life’s and could care less about you and didn’t want to be there. We were visiting Rapid City for Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends.
We would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone unless the conditions were corrected.
