"Almost Luxurious"
When we arrived, our Uber squeezed into the tight driveway. We arrived at 8am and wanted to leave our luggage with the hotel, as we understood that check-in was not until 2pm. The staff appeared unhappy as they seemed to think we wanted to check-in. Once we'd come back later in the day, there was confusion amongst the multitudes of staff at the front desk. They did not appreciate me checking the document they wanted me to sign, nor that I crossed off the "Mr." they had in front of "Mr. Michelle". Our bags were taken up with us in the trolley, by the bell-boy (bell-man). The three elevators seemed fast enough. Our room was apartment-sized. There was a kitchen area, living area and spare bedroom. Three air con units in total. For such a large place, it would have been great had they included a washing machine in the room. The kitchen cupboards were completely empty, so I doubt anyone would actually cook. But laundry is a different story. There is an adjoining door between the main bedroom and the bathroom. This can add in a bit of extra fun to the stay. The buffet breakfast is not just vegetarian - don't trust the Lonely Planet. It was actually very yummy. WiFi is good, but you'll need to login again if you disconnect. There is a nice rooftop pool/bar. Our room could have done with a forensic clean. The couch had blood stains and other mystery stains, there was a hand-print on the wall, and we found four jigsaw pieces and a tissue in the side of the couch.

"Awesome value for money hotel in the City"
Arrived late at 11 pm and check-in was quick. The room allocated to my wife and me has a minor defect on the wash basin, and upon reporting about it, the reception staff gave us another room without hesitation. The room has 3 single beds, which I think is the standard feature of this hotel in order to maximise value for money. It is pleasant, clean, while lights and air-conditioning works well. The bathroom is fitted with a nice rain shower. The hotel is well-located, near Sutera Harbour Resort and Grace Point Food Court (clean, extensive variety, tasty and reasonable prices). We had a rented car and it was easy to move around to the Jesselton Point Jetty (Island trips), City Centre and out of the City locations. The complimentary car park space is ample, and there is guardhouse manned by an Auxiliary Policeman at the entrance at all times, hence there is a sense of security. We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights, and would stay again the next time we are in Kota Kinabalu.

"Very nice hotel with friendly staff"
The staffs as mentioned in the title, are very friendly and helpful in serving you. I lost my water bottle during the water rafting which I booked with the hotel itself, and the staffs are very efficient and willing to help me out in order to get the water bottle back. Also the hotel has plenty of suggested activities which you can choose from, you can simply book this hotel without planning anything to do or any place to go, they have prepared for you, the activities are such as water rafting, scuba diving, island hopping, Poring Hot Spring visit (morning till evening), and you just need to pay them a certain amount indicated in the list, they will do the rest for you, not only that I found some of the activities they offer are a lot cheaper than the company outside. I personally loved and used a lot the shuttle service they provide, it was very punctual and with quite frequent trips, so no worries if you want to go out to KK central for anything. The room is clean, with daily house keeping of course is very essential that I guess a lot of guests would love to have, and there's basically no issue with anything in the room such as electrical appliances or whatsoever. Book this hotel as it is really NICE! Worthy hotel!

"Beautiful hotel but food and service needs improve"
My partner and I stayed for 3 nights. Gorgeous room and housekeeping was 5 star. The guided walk was entertaining and there was a good variety of sea life ( including stingray!) that made snorkeling fun. However F&B staff needs to be trained more. When I asked for some cut fruit ( none on buffet tray) he promptly used his bare hands ( which were handling coffee equipment only thankfully) and without even wiping them proceeded to cut my fruit and placed them on my plate. I walked away and said thank you ! Food and alcohol is expensive even by Singapore standards ( a glass of white is SGD15) and standard of food is average. So all in all we still had a lovely time but would caution our friends on the same.

Putatan is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Putatan, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Putatan hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
