The pool outside the room was a great touch to the trip. Love that there are different pools we can get in to, great food, entertainment everyday the people are wonderful, also one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept on in any hotel. The staff is great super nice, very helpful, would highly recommend to my friends and family.

Great lobby area with the water falls, good service, very pushy time share salesman, good food, poor swin-up room #3111 smell like mildew and mold as you can see in the pictures was only given spray to refresh the room, but that didn't work. Will not be back too many other resorts to deal with this on vacation.

My review of Live Aqua Punta Cana First and foremost, I never write reviews about anything, but this is well worth me saying what I have to say. We are a couple in our late 30’s, early 40’s and decided to come here to turn up a bit, but also RELAX and UNWIND. This place is the perfect medium to do both. This place is really what you make it. Upon arrival, the big doors open and you instantly are hit with a soothing smell, you hear the waterfall, it’s just instant peace. We booked the swim out room, so we were VIP. I say GO FOR THE SWIM UP ROOMS. Top shelf drinks ( Don Julio, Hennessy, 1800, etc) it’s worth it for sure. Smooth and easy check in with a hand massage and top shelf drinks. By far the easiest check in I’ve ever been to. Next we went to our swim up room, I asked could we NOT be on the construction side, and we still ended up there. No big deal, we are on vacation. The room was amazing! It was kinda awkward going to your swim up room, and seeing construction guys looking down at you, and hearing dump trucks. I know it will be a family/ kids resort next door, I’d still wouldn’t want to be on that side once it’s completed. Anyway,our door battery was low, and it wouldn’t let us in. They sent 3 people over to fix it until it was finally fixed. I went to the main lobby and told them issue. The next day our butler, YRANI, which I hate using that term, she was more like our friend, upgraded us to the Tierra room, OCEAN VIEW. FREE! Huge upgrade in our favor to cove

I may try this resort again, but it was issues during our stay. They checked us in and said it was only 1 for the reservation. My key, bracelet, didn’t work. Had to ask for snacks, that were given as all inclusive. There was no hot water in my room. We were moved to a really nice room by Noris. It was so kind of him. However, my phone didn’t work. The bed was very comfortable! Hibachi was good when it was open. At the Mexican restaurant the chicken fajitas was so good!! Nati was very helpful with excursions. The 9 in 1 was so much fun!!! Be patient with the bell guys, they are kind and will give you good information. Entertainment was nice also. Sadly, the swim up bar closes at 7.

Live Aqua has the potential to be awesome! The grounds are amazing but our experience was a bit lackluster. We were there celebrating our 30th Anniversary and was looking forward to some alone couple time. This is the place if you want peace in place of a party atmosphere so that was great. Reading prior reviews we were hoping for a butler that went up and above. Unfortunately for us we did not feel that was the case. He sent a daily text but seemed to drop the ball in a personal connection. The beach was totally unusable. The amount of seaweed and smell were very off putting. If this is important to you, you will be disappointed. The room was spacious, well laid out and functional. Our private pool was phenomenal and much enjoyed when we felt like a break from the public pool. The only real drawback was the rooms smell. It was of a strong mildew/mold and we never really got used to it. The food was pretty inconsistent. It was either really good or really nothing special. Several times ordering we were told they were out of items and the language barrier was a problem on several occasions. The breakfast and lunch buffets were always delicious and had a wide variety. Drinks were also inconsistent. My spouse likes a good old fashioned and never had a duplicate as there seemed to be 101 ways of making them. Also worth mentioning is they were fair weak as well. So for the money was anticipating more. Would definitely go back if these problems were solved!!

Buyer BEWARE , this is a hub for Time Share , so the same suite we paid for was $1500 less for the time share folks let alone the class of people was very interesting at best , we had a private swim out pool that wasn’t private at all, one of the pool guys interrupted our couples tune of just hanging out at our pool and decided to check the skimmers , they came to our terrace and checked our jacuzzi which this could have all waited until we weren’t at our pool. At the time of all this I was massaging my wife’s foot and the pool guy decided to grab my wife’s other foot and tickle the bottom of her foot which really threw us both off (we made an official complaint and no one followed up with us) .. Service at the restaurants very poor .. Sadly it was our 10 year anniversary and that’s our memory but we made the best of it. Stay at Secrets Resorts or Sandals if your looking for impeccable service and hospitality.
