This was the worst resort my family and I have ever stayed at. The staff barely spoke English and were not interested in helping us at all. When we arrived in our room, the air conditioning read 85 degrees F. We turned the air on and hours later it didn't drop a single degree. We called the front desk and they said someone would come look. Over an hour later, nobody showed up, so we called again. Someone came out, pretended to "work", and told us that we had to "f-ing wait". That whole night and the next day the temperature in our room didn't drop a single degree. Our room was hot, humid, and full of mosquitoes. The bed sheets were dirty. There was an outlet with its cover ripped off the wall and wires hanging out. There was rust in the shower. The area where the buffet was had no air conditioning or even fans to keep the area/food cool. That can't be safe. We repeatedly asked for water and nobody brought any over. The service was terrible. We wound up booking another resort and leaving the following day.

We originally booked to stay at the Royalton Splash and had to change our stay to Royalton Punta Cana. The rooms at the Splash were terrible, mold, dust, bugs, outdated, etc. The waterpark was closed for 2 days and the smaller children waterpark was completely closed for renovations. We switched over to Royalton Punta Cana and that was a complete different story. Beautiful and renovated. Glad we were able to make the switch!

They just need to replace the buffet staff. They don't serve you, and they even told me to eat ice cream with a fork. Otherwise, the hotel is fantastic.

I wasn’t expecting this to go so bad. Since I arrived. The check in took 2 hrs. The main lobby is under construction and they are using a smaller area to attend everyone. The first thing I noticed is that they made me walk through the wet floor as they were moping. 2 ladies fell as I got into the line. The room was ready but when we arrived it smelled really bad. They weren’t clean. The sealing had dust bunnies hanging. The service at the buffet just to get a table or a cup of water from the server was an issue. The food wasn’t replaced. During breakfast they denied me entry because I needed a tshirt, but once I came back the rule was just for a few others had their bathing suit top without issues. I contacted Customer Service and notified them of my many issues. They tried cleaning the room better and it smelled nicer. The Manager tried their best to make our experience better. They decorated our room and gave us a dinner on another resort. Next morning the room stank again. I believe the service is the result of low staff and bad management. You could hear the staff complain. To get an attendant to help with the luggage on check out was another issue. I called 3 times and still no one answer. 2 nights 10 people in total and no one had a good a experience. The pool area was nice the water park was nice.

Loved that punta Cana splash is an all inclusive with great entertainment for the kids near to the airport Disliked that the the majority of staff are not hospitable for working in an industry where you are supposed to be friendly. They didn’t care. Check in was a disaster. I commented previously that guests should be called when room ready and not have to wait in a line every time we needed to check on room status. Room near the nightly entertainment so I was kept awake after 10:30 every night. The room is worn especially the bathroom. Water park closed for a day. No signage that it would be unavailable that day. Overall it was a sunny vacation. But I would not be returning to this property

The grounds looked lovely but we had issues with plumbing not working and we couldn’t use the toilets for a few hours on two occasions. The bathrooms by the Diamond pool were not very clean on numerous occasions. The butler Sidney was excellent as was the housekeeping, although they ran out of face cloths in my last two days. Some of the wait staff were not helpful- a few in the Selections buffet did not bring beverages until we were finished our meal, and another fellow in the Sports Bar largely ignored us… we asked for water, he brought one glass. We asked for cutlery and he brought 2 sets for 5 of us. We wanted to order dessert but he stood at the door talking to a coworker. We finally just left and didn’t tip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay overall, a great vacation!

We just came back from 6 days stay at the Royalton Punta Cana. We really liked the several pools, drinks, and overall ambiance of this resort. We paid for Diamond Club which I highly recommend. Our butler was Daniel. He was excellent with all our requests. If we needed anything in our room and restaurants reservations were done in a breeze. I would highly recommend his professional, respectful and calm demeanor. We visited the Gym several times and had no issues. The buffet had a wide variety of food and we all liked their food. We did not get sick and the kids enjoyed the water park. My son loved the Pinas Coladas from the pool bar. I would stay next time at the Punta Cana section instead of the Splash section which needs to be renovated and the staff was not as pleasant as the Punta Cana section. Overall we will go back to the Royalton Punta Cana for our next family vacation.
