From start to finish our stay was wonderful. We were welcomed and checked in quickly. After seeing our room, I can honestly say it was very clean but a little out dating for my liking. The water is very hot but we found if you give it a couple minutes, it cools down. The food at the buffet was absolutely incredible. Every night was a different theme and they make food custom to your liking! The deserts were all delicious and such a huge variety. Our buffet waiter Alejandro was super nice, he even decorated our table and took pictures of us. His service was unmatched! We were only able to go to one restaurant, Mashua (Japanese) and wow, that food was so pretty I didn’t want to eat it! But I did, I had the octopus, salmon and the rice pudding is the best I have ever had. The service there was also amazing and they had a delicious ginger passion fruit drink that made my night! The pool is right in the center and it was probably the best pool I have used. They did a foam party, they had music, singers and such fun activities in the pool as well. Shout out to Richard for putting us to work with the water aerobics. They even had a hotdog and burger station by the pool and Luis at the bar was great with remembering my drink orders! They offer so much variety of drinks and snacks everywhere. I had such a great time. I was able to also get a massage with Virgen who was able to work out all the kinks from her 1 hour massage. And the water jet spa was incredible too! I have no complaint

First time in Bahia Principe with my wife, we had an inconvenient during the check in when we arrived to the hotel. Our room was assigned to other people and when they finally gave us a room, it was not fully cleaned and the staff of Aquamarine was not very helpful. Although, we had a great time during our stay, the entertainment team is awesome and one of the best waitresses we've met was Liciana, excellent service and friendly. The asian restaurant and the steakhouse restaurant were very good, we recommend to do reservations early because they can get very full. Overall, we are looking forward to visiting Bahia Principe again.

I was very disappointed because beach was very bad and i could not go to water,also everything was so far that you have to work long distance for every place, especially to the beach The rest was fine,food was same every night to make the reservation for the restaurant was impossible. if I go back to the Dominican, I would not stay in this place again.

The pool and surrounding area was great. However the room was dated and not well maintained. Shower wouldn’t drain, was not able to regulate water temperature in the shower. Either ice cold or scalding hot. Bed was horrible. Mattress was rock hard. Coffee cups in room were not changed out during our stay. Minibar was a joke. Refrigerator didn’t even keep the drinks cold. Buffet food was not good at all. Got some bad scallops that made me ill. Beach was unusable because of the seaweed. Couldn’t even walk down the beach, nor could you sit and enjoy the view because of the smell. Staff at the pool area and pool bar were friendly, but all other areas staff seemed pretty rude and unhelpful. Casino was a joke. Had one blackjack table and one roulette table. Had to get you own drinks from the bar, dealers were not friendly. All in all I would not recommend Bahia Principe Aquamarine.

Not unique with the resort. Just like any other resorts, I guess. Furnishings and fixtures were outdated. TV reception was awful. Food was basically the same each day and burgers were either overcooked or burnt. Staff should be fully informed of the property especially for directions. We missed an appt due wrong info given for direction, finally got it right on our last day.

Great pools and restaurants. Some staff at front desk of Aquamarine were rude, unhelpful and dismissive. Buffet was nice. Room was neat and well kept up but weed smell wafted from nearby rooms and when we reported it nothing was done. Lots of things to do, landscaping and lighting was immaculate and well-designed. Beach was overrun with seaweed and smelled badly, thankfully the abundance of pools throughout the complex more than made up for it. A nice place overall. A few sour experiences but we would do it again.

If you see any negative reviews, it's mostly from people who did zero research about the property or their trip, so just ignore them. We just got back yesterday from a seven-night stay, and we had a blast. The rooms are great, and the people who work there couldn't be nicer. You need to book the restaurants ahead of time, and we were easily able to dine at seven different restaurants during our stay. Additionally, the breakfast and lunch buffets were also great. We mostly stayed at the pool each day (it's sargassum season on the beach), and the entertainment crew there was hilarious (along with the great pool bartenders). Everyone in our group agreed it was a fantastic week and great value for the price.
