Cool place but needs to upgrade the food

When i arrived, i immediately felt like these people are very indifferent with people that check-in and “look like the locals”. I felt very discriminated. The room i was initially given had 3 issues: balcony door not locking, tv remote didn’t work, and the small shower head was broken. The hallways looked so run down and dirty. I initially got the cheaper option for my stay but did not expect this atrocity. To top it off, they don't offer free wifi. A wifi package needs to be purchased but it only covers the outside areas, so no wifi in the room. I was flabbergasted. I was calm but in the inside i was raging. i needed internet in the room. I ended up paying for it. They insisted that before changing the room, they would send maintenance in to fix the issues. In the meanwhile i was debating if i needed to upgrade the room because i needed internet to communicate with my relatives there. I asked how much and they said $350 dollars and am like when i purchase the package the upgrade was like almost $200. They replied back “its always cheaper on those sites”. I was like can it be cheaper for all the troubles you guys are putting me thru? . The person was just without an ounce of empathy on his face. The manager also came out and nothing. These people are just ruthless, no apologies, no nothing. Worst customer experience of my life. the food there is just awful. I went to like 3 different restaurants and it was bad. i dont think i finished anything. I would never go back.

The property has a 5 out of 10 rating at best. It has room for a lot of improvements but its an older property so do not expect top tier amendments. The gu. Was old and in bad conditionr. 2 of the 3 pools i saw was dirty. The snack area was infested with roaches. Maintenance response in the event you have an issue in you room has none existence. Some areas was tapped off with yellow caution tap because it was hazardous to occupy. All this is because of property management failure to bring this place up the standards of a elite resort. So it is what is is. Inlight of all that, the shower water was hot. The room i was in was celan and comfortable. The restaurant in the back of the property had a good selection of food and service was good. The show at night was entertaining. Loved the micheal jackson part. Its a doable property if you can deal with sub standards of abtrue resort! Just my opinion! You should stayband rate it. Some my love it. Some won't!

I did love the ocean view, food was ok, drinks were so-so, didn’t like the rooms “mattress in poor condition, shower area not clean with mold, I did request air condition filter to be replace because of the Dust but never changed. the entertainment staff was Great

Place is great awesome employees could have better directions to rooms myself and a few other couples i ran into were lost as well but all part of the adventure,, maybe a display map in the walls or a kiosk would be helpful the paper map was useless

This is a beautiful property, my husband and I stayed in one of the ocean view rooms. It was very clean, they welcomed us with refreshments and in the room they had a nice fruit arrangement waiting for us. I requested a king size bed and it was very clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that we wanted to reserve the a la cart dinner and you could only reserve between 10-11am which was inconvenient for us since we went to rest and sleep in. The other issue we had was with the room Air conditioning. It was not working for a full day and they finally moved us into a different room at midnight. These room need to be well inspected prior to tourist coming in, since we are looking for relaxation and no stress. Food was okay.. nothing crazy and we did not get the chance to try their a la cart because by 12pm it was completely booked, no accommodation whatsoever.

Can't rate the aerea around the property, cause it depend, if we talk about the area within the complexe, then a 4*, if we talk about Sosua village and Playa Sosua, then it's always dirty and in poor condition as my first time 20 years ago. However, last visit to thia resort was 11yeras ago and they have upgraded a lot. The rooms, at least mine, was very clean and the shower, beside the mold on the glass panel silicone joint, was very nice, nicer than the 5* Puerto Plata Senator hotel. Overall, nice place. If you like all-inclusive resort, the quality/price is good.
