I booked around 6pm and when I got there they didn’t have a room. I was told to look elsewhere for a room and on top of that, they said they wouldn’t give me a refund because it was booked through Hotels.com! What s terrible start. Ages later they went and got the cleaner, who was probably having dinner with her family at 8pm, to ‘prepare a room for me’ which was apparently ‘locked for next season’. Appalling room condition. Very very outdated, damp walls smelled so intensely I couldn’t sleep from the smell (and I could not leave the balcony door open as I was on street level and plenty of mosquitoes too). I woke up coughing. Very old bathroom, the door was peeling, the side light wasn’t working, the emergency light outside the room was broken and flashing, which woke me up when it was still dark… I left the place absolutely exhausted. ‘You get what you pay for’ they say, but this was completely unacceptable even for €45.

Lovely boutique hotel! Would stay again, the food was good and the hotel was brand new. We stayed on the suites side which I recommend.

Really comfortable beach cabanas free for hotel guests made this stuck out. Great room cleaning service too. Cleared the sand away everyday that we drug in. We went early season so they probably needed to hire a few more staff for the breakfast service but such a small complaint. Overall, really great value and very relaxing stay that I would recommend!

Stunning property, let down by management and privacy issues. OKU Kos is beautiful. The 20m pool is spotless and great for fitness. However, our room's private pool lacked privacy; gaps in the walls allow neighbours to see right in, ruining any chance of skinny-dipping. The beach is stunning with comfy sunbeds, though it gets very windy.Food is a mixed bag. Breakfast is outstanding with perfect poached eggs, and the bar staff serve wonderful cocktails. However, the chef consistently overcooks fish. We had to send a tuna dish back, though they did compensate us with free drinks. Spa treatments are good, but note the hammam and sauna cost extra to turn on.Guest services need major improvement. First, the hotel tried to downgrade our room category pre-arrival, forcing a stressful 3-hour phone call with our travel agent to fix.Second, the Guest Services Manager ignored our pre-arrival emails and only said a brief hello on night three, seeming clueless about our profile.Third, swapping half-board dinner for lunch was a struggle, though a kind receptionist eventually helped us on our final day.Finally, for the World Cup semi-final, they just gave local suggestions instead of offering to make a booking for us. This is not luxury concierge service.It is still a great location for couples or groups, but do not expect true 5-star service.

Hotel has a nice layout, had a few issues when we first arrived but they were sorted out quickly. Overall a nice relaxing holiday with plenty to do onsite if you don’t want to travel or go on excursions.
