Room 310 needs some repairs and freshening up

Our stay was just ok. The room smelled stale. The bedding did not smell fresh. The countertops in the kitchen are in VERY bad shape. The stove top was equally scratched and looked worn. The hallway carpets could have used a good vacuuming. The one elevator plexi glass was shattered and looked like someone had kicked it. Equally some floor tiles in the other elevator were broken. The room we stayed in was starting to look worn even though the Sandman Signature in Sherwood Park Alberta has the same decor, it looks less worn.

I don’t write reviews very often. I booked at this property because it had a restaurant/lounge. So my husband and I could go and have a drink on a Friday night. Got to the lounge, and they were closing. 10pm on a Friday night might be a little early. The staff there was fantastic and recommended a couple of places around the property. NOTHING was open. The restaurant also didn’t open until 8am for breakfast. And nowhere near for breakfast. Definitely would stay there again. With the price I paid for the room and no restaurant available, not worth it

The Sandman staff were pleasant, helpful, and were quick to acknowledge at any point during my stay. The restaurant is great with good food and good service. I have stayed here multiple times in the past and will happily stay here in the future.
