The hotel is unique it is a 15 century mansion so amazing . That being said if you do not have a room with a canal view your room is dark ( if that bothers you) they changed my room for more Money but that was fine New room perfect I think some maintenance could be done spots on carpet and some grout improvement But overall lovely Bed linens and bed very comfy and lovely Super clean Staff ( especially Ricardo) so helpful and made sure our stay was perfect Restaurant and breakfast very good !Location absolutely perfect ! Close to everything but not in a crowded part of town also on the grand canal was beautiful Overall a wonderful stay .

Room and the staff mostly from desk

When we arrived, we were told there might be a decrease in power and water pressure the next day from eight in the morning until almost 5 at night. There was absolutely no power or any electricity in the building no water and no Wi-Fi.The halls were pitch black, no running water or toilets , no AC, no elevator working, etc. We informed the staff and they couldn’t care less. We explained we had someone with severe asthma that needed a breathing treatment that required electricity and could not walk down three flights upstairs in the dark no less. Just was told too bad. They indicated Expedia was notified a week ago and we could’ve changed our plans. We clearly would not have stayed there if we knew of this. Expedia attempted to get us another room, but it was later in the day and we didn’t even end up staying there cause that smelled like sewage. Thinking this would be OK with guests is absolutely ridiculous. Horrible customer service and no concern whatsoever. We asked to get another room in another building and they replied the whole town and square had no utilities. This was not true within 100 yards. The other places were all lit up and working.

The location of our hotel was absolutely perfect. We felt like it was a quick walk to everything we wanted to see. The hotel was charming and felt very characteristic of what we thought staying in Venice would look like. We would highly suggest this hotel and the restaurant next-door. Loved that there was a gondola station out front and that it was steps to the Rialto Bridge. The staff was very friendly and helpful!! 5 out of 5!!!

Very good hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, right across the canal from the Guglie stop of the Alilaguna public water taxi. Just a short walk over the footbridge. We were an easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and about a 20 minute walk to Saint Mark Square. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. My only observation is that they weren’t that helpful recommending restaurants. Otherwise our stay was delightful. The breakfast, which was included, was top-notch. The hotel itself is grand and well worth it. I would definitely stay again.
