Excellent stay. Clean, great location. Large rooms

For a lodge charging $500 per night for a standard king room, we expected a peaceful, relaxing experience in the Catskills. Unfortunately, our stay was the opposite. The biggest issue was the complete lack of soundproofing. Our bed was positioned directly against the wall behind the main entrance door, so every time someone entered the lodge, it sounded as if they were coming into our room. We could hear conversations, every door slamming, and virtually all the noise from the common areas. On top of that, the footsteps from the room above us were incredibly loud and disruptive. It was impossible to properly relax and enjoy the peaceful getaway we had paid for. To make matters worse, our room overlooked the parking lot, hardly the view you would hope for when spending $500 a night at a Catskills lodge. We talked the front desk few minutes after seeing our room, to ask whether we could move to another room. We were told that no changes could be accommodated because the property was busy. We even offered to pay extra for a higher-category room, but the answer remained no. The lodge has 44 rooms and we saw only a handful of couples around the property during dinner and breakfast, so the response was particularly frustrating. There was no apparent effort to explore alternatives or find a solution. What disappointed us most was the impression that the front desk was simply instructed to simply say no to every request concerning the guest experienece.

The place was clean and beautiful. You need to check with Expedia . I didn’t get the steps to get in, since there is nobody on site. to check in. I call the phone on site. Somebody call me back and walk me through step to get in.

El personal de recepcion fue muy atento y servicial. Nos encanto todas las amenidades del hotel y la energia del sitio. Definitavemente queremos volver.
