A great long weekend stay for a family wedding. The on- site bar and cafe are wonderfully charming, and the staff really attentive and helpful overall. We loved our stay and the location/ walkability of the area. Let’s not forget the plush bedding and soft sheets ensuring a good night’s rest. Thank you!

Cool Setting, very unique place with a great history

The hotel room was quiet and sufficiently spacious. The bed was reasonably comfortable, the TV large, the shower head gave good flow and hot water was almost instant. Overall, for a 4 star hotel, the room fell short of the ‘polish’ of a 4 star room. If you don’t pay attention to the small details, then all was perfectly fine. But it felt that most maintenance and finishing in the room, particularly the bathroom, was done by a cheap handyman. The ceiling had been painted but there were paint drips still on the wall tiles and in the bath. The mirror had a major chip out of the corner, which wasn’t protected in any way. The grout on the floor hadn’t had a good clean as there appeared to be mold - although the tiles themselves were clean. The caulking around the sink looked as if it had been done by a child and the sink had a fine crack through it. The toilet was functional and had a powerful flush but the mechanism often needed some tries to work. So there wasn’t anything that didn’t work, just not up to a 4 star rating. Clearly the hotel used to be grand. The pool was nice, although with the heat it was very busy. Consequently, they ran out of towels and with so few staff it was challenging finding some. Some of the staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly the lady at the front desk who could solve any issue, and some of the waiting staff. But a lot seemed very inexperienced and often we found too few working… so often there was some waiting.

Check in was super inviting, the room was clean bed was comfy, although the shower leaked water and covered the entire floor. Pool was clean and at a great temp for the hot weather. Could of used more wait staff outside. Landshark was ok, very pricey. Loved the free shuttle service to anywhere in the area! We will be back!

We had an excellent stay, staff were super friendly and the property was very nice. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at!
