This hotel was an excellent choice for a late night flight coming into Philly. The room was good. Comfy bed. Nice shower. Smelled clean. Staff were very friendly. (Only problem was mold on a lamp shade, which is weird in itself. Left note with removed lampshade.)

We had to book an unexpected overnight stay at this hotel after our second flight home to Ohio was canceled. We did not check in until 1am. We booked La Quinta Wyndham with expectations for a clean and safe experience backed by Wyndham and Expedia. After a long and frustrating evening at the airport, we got just the opposite. Our first room #209 reeked of smoke/weed and the smoke detector was covered up in blue tape. The bed was made but the bathroom appeared to be used and not freshly cleaned. The front desk clerk gave us a new room #117 that smelled fresh upon entry and the bed was made. BUT there was a small hole and stains on the wall, only one bath towel provided, and the AC unit leaked on the floor, but the worst part was the missing safety latch on the inside of door. The door locked from outside but the deadbolt did not work. There was a dresser and paint supplies in the hallway which was not a good look. Even my husband who has a pretty high tolerance and low expectations was uncomfortable. We talked to a young man in the elevator who was on his 3rd room assignment that night due to uncleanliness. When I checked reviews before booking it was a 7.4 rating. That is seriously misleading. I expected better from Wyndham. The only redeeming quality was a free shuttle to and from the airport. I seriously am not one to nitpick and am usually pretty forgiving but this whole experience was unacceptable. We did not feel safe or comfortable.

The worst La Quinta EVER

Everything about this hotel was HORRIBLE. It smelled bad, was VERY old and made me itch… LITERALLY. I don’t know if it was bed bugs or a reaction from contact with something in the room but my neck and face were covered in hives shortly after check in. The fire alarm went off AND someone’s smoke detector alarm the following day. The front desk tried to remedy it but I was told the manager was “working on it” for each alarm. The room looked like it was literally falling apart. The AC unit was spewing humid barely cold air- it felt better outside in the SUMMER time than in the room. The other guests staying on the third floor were just plain GHETTO. Let their bad ass kids run up and down the hallways and would constantly slam the doors. Loud noise and inconsiderate neighbors paired with the itching had me leave a day early to go to Delta Hotel which I HIGHLY recommend!

This place is very close to the airport and the shuttle service is fantastic. Granted, it waa a friday night, but the hallway noise of the guests was loud all night long, although I recognize the hotel has no control over that. The staff were all very nice.

Checked in to an unclean room. TV and phone didn't work. Asked several times to be transferred to another room but that didn't happened. No one attempted to clean our room. Overall experiences was terrible. I had to go dwon to the front desk to beg for some clean washcloths.
