On Saturday, August 30, 2025, I asked the front desk lady in the morning for directions, but she was not very helpful as her instructions were unclear and uncertain. In addition, the swimming pool was permanently closed, which should have been disclosed on the website. We felt misled by the lack of transparency.

Very run down, not usual H2S quality.

Hotel was very run down, not clean, and very old, uncomfortable beds. Also very warm and humid throughout the common areas with a weird smell. One night we were woken at 2am by a fire alarm gone bad that set off sirens through the entire hotel for about 15-30 minutes. Another morning, there was very low water pressure and water was ice cold. Told that 'engineering' was working on it, but it was not rectified before we left.

Location, location, location

Upon check-in, there was an extra fee added to my credit card for a deposit that I was not expecting after booking the room on hotels.com but was presented with the charge at the front desk. When I ran my card the room was clean. The bathroom door did not shut all the way or have any ability to latch closed. Luckily I was only traveling with me and my son it was $120 to park at the parking garage next-door to the hotel which seems pretty pricey though that should not count against the hotel itself. It’s good to be aware if looking to book here that they do not have any type of Parking for the hotel itself. Our room was very clean the window faced the parking garage so we were unable to have our window open or our shade up or else the car is driving by would be able to see into our room. There are security measures. You need to scan your room key in order to get into the building to make the elevator go up and down and to get in your room, I did like those features as it is not in the greatest area being downtown However, it’s placement of being downtown is what makes this hotel perfect if you are trying to visit the items downtown, particularly the threading market is directly across the street and you can walk right into it from the exit of the hotel is the entrance to the Reading market super fun to walk around and the food there was incredibleThe hotel did offer free breakfast and the people down there serving refilling and cleaning were at the very top of their game.

The room wasn't the cleanest. Mildew in the corners & on the slides for the door. Stains everywhere, walls, carpets & door frames. The shelves & dishes were dusty. I forgot my slippers so wore my socks. They were stained from the dirty floors. Breakfast running untill 9am is inconvenient. Wish it ran untill 10a on weekdays. The juice machine put out warm liquids. The orange juice was watered down...or just out all morning. But who wants warm OJ anyways. The pool was shut down, which was important as my 6 yr old loves an indoor pool & it was planned to spend some time in it. I received no notifications as i would have changed to a different hotel if i was made aware. The lobby temp was gross. It was way to hot. The only saving grace was the employees. They were all amazing & we genuinely looked forward to seeing them. They were all so sweet with my daughter. Loved them. If it wasn't for them i would have given 1 star. I would not stay at this location again unless there were no other options.

My 7 th stay at this property…. This time the cleaning of the bathroom or lack there of was my only concern… 2 days with long dark hairs on the floor and in between the fresh bathroom towels didn’t get me excited … anyway we’ll be back
