There was a lot of construction happening around the Hôtel that we could hear in the room. Staff were not as customer oriented, seemed more annoyed than anything. Housekeeping was lovely.

Avoid Hôtel 20 Prieuré – Serious Safety Concern I stayed at Hôtel 20 Prieuré in Paris for 4 nights, and my experience was extremely disappointing—mainly due to a serious violation of privacy that completely ruined my stay. The room itself was basic but not as shown in the online photos. While generally tidy, the bathroom was unclean—there was visible mould and dirt around the shower and radiator, which was unpleasant and felt unclean. The real issue, however, was a shocking security breach. At 7:26am, a woman entered my room unannounced with a master keycard. I was asleep and startled awake, falling out of bed in shock. Minutes later, she returned again, barging in instead of waiting after she knocked for me to get up and open my door. I was in shock and felt completely unsafe and violated. When I reported this to the front desk, the manager was dismissive and evasive, claiming she was “checking if my door was open”—a clear lie, as I always double-check the door before bed because there is NO internal lock or chain on the door. There was no real apology or genuine concern shown. At checkout they comped my parents breakfast but the damage had already been done at that point. While the location is excellent—central, and full of great cafés and an a fab Boulangerie —I would strongly advise against staying here. The lack of etiquette & respect for guests and basic safety is unacceptable. There are much better options in this lovely part of Paris. Avoid Hôtel 20 Prieuré.

Fabulous find!

What a find! This lovely hotel is 5 mins from 2 metro stops, has a Boulanger on nearby corner and supermarket across the road. Staff here were all very helpful, welcoming and let me practice my French. Wonderful place and we’ll come again.

Everything was OK in this hotel. The seul little issue was the safe. It wasn't attached to nothing. It works well, but someone could just take it and go away. The rest was very fine.

Absolutely loved the location and the staff, A+. Everything within walking distance, only 5min from the metro and across the road from a little supermarket. Room however, (20) on ground floor had a wet room with a shower that didn't drain so you're standing in your own soap scum and it spreads out to the toilet and basin so you get wet if you need to go in after. Also when we arrived there were parts that hadn't been cleaned at all - the floor didn't look like it had been hoovered as there were little bits of food over it and in the courtyard there were cigarette butts everywhere and a coffee cup from the room. We told the front desk who said there was a new girl and when we came back from dinner the cup and butts had been picked up but the coffee cup hadn't been replaced and the room hadn't been hoovered. I would still recommend this place as I think it was bad luck with the cleaning and the staff and location are great, but I'd get a room that isn't on the ground floor so there's better drainage.

The hotel was in a perfect location and very quiet. It was very clean and our spacious. The only slight con were the sizes of our twin beds. They were very short and narrow, even for us who aren't very tall.

Really enjoyed our stay here! everyone was really kind and friendly. always said hello and goodbye as we passed through the lobby We stayed in the balcony room and was super cute and parisian vibes 😂 Lift was broke when we got there but was fixed the same day and staff kindly helped with taking our bags up there with 0 hesitation. bags were stored when we needed them to be in secure room in lobby and rooms were cleaned everyday. Room was sufficient size for 3 adults and had enough room for 4 suitcases to go under beds etc was close to two metro stations which was convenient for travelling into central paris and felt safe when walking back down that street at the nighttime thanks for our stay!
