Nice hotel. Staff super friendly and helpful. Room a little dirty with cups and a hoover outside our door for two days and air con very noisy. Breakfast was nice and great location.

We loved staying here. It is convenient to walk to everything! The staff is so sweet and helpful. We loved all the little details. We enjoyed eating at Restaurant 35 on Quai du Jacob and Les Antiquaries only a short walk from the hotel! The bed is firm would be the only drawback, but I will absolutely stay here again❤️

Avoid at all costs!!! Dust everywhere

Checked out after night one - not only was the room much smaller and darker than advertised, but the walls were all covered in cobwebs and clumps of dust. We checked in around 10pm, so the night porter moved us to a different, slightly larger room, but this had the same issues - walls all covered in dust, including around the bed area. Surfaces covered in dust too. We couldn’t believe it - a lovely (and expensive) weekend was nearly ruined. Given it was 1am when we’d finished reporting this to the night porter again, we decided to try and get some sleep as far away from the walls as possible - four sleepless hours later we packed up and requested that our stay was cancelled. When we mentioned this to management in the morning, we were told it was ‘normal’ and it was dust that had collected off suitcases and ‘stuck to the wallpaper’. In disbelief, we asked them to cancel our remaining nights and booked a nearby hotel (the best decision we made all weekend). The hotel eventually refunded us for the two nights we didn’t stay, but charged us full price for the night we did stay, despite only using the room for four hours or so. Absolutely disgusting room standards (it was much worse than we could capture in phone pictures) and even worse service.

Hotel R. Kipling was exactly what we needed! The room was a little small, but overall it had everything we needed! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great location

If you’re looking for a beautiful setting, unique and tasteful furnishings and wonderful attentive staff, this is the place for you. We adored this hotel and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We stayed in a superior double - the bed was huge and comfortable, lovely pillows and the large Juliette balcony windows were a delight. The only slight downside was of course, with its convenient setting, it was loud at night over the weekend and we like to sleep with the window open. However, as an eco-friendly hotel, the air con doesn’t operate during the winter months. We spoke to the staff and they were able to reduce the temperature of our room - they said we could/shouldve called down to the desk at any time day or night. Every member of staff was friendly, kind and efficient. They go the extra mile to add to your stay when we brought takeaway food into the hotel and didn’t have cutlery. The fresh hot coffee and cold, filtered water downstairs was also a real added bonus - good quality coffee to start your day in a beautifully decorated, albeit cosy, hotel lounge. Coffee machine and pods also in room with refillable glass, bottled water to take up for a coffee in bed with a view! I really fell in love with this place - a few minutes from Moulin Rouge and Montmatre beyond. It felt very reasonably priced for what we got. We will absolutely be back.
