Very pleasant, comfortable, not luxurious, but great price. Nice, helpful staff. Nice breakfast available in an unusual, fun place. Lots of restaurants close by. Great walking area. A big, busy park nearby.

We only stayed for one night and arrived very late and left quite early so it’s hard to comment on everything about the hotel. We had a very basic room that was very small. Perhaps one of the last remaining rooms I’m not sure. It was fine for what we needed but not if you stayed for any real length of time, 3 of you in there. Small wardrobe, again would be difficult for a lengthy stay. That being said the beds were very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was also clean with a decent shower, mirror etc. Toiletries supplied were very basic but that’s ok. Limited refreshments in the room but a good fridge. We could see the Eiffel Tower from our balcony! Looked cool at night. Area was quite noisy, albeit sound proofing indoors pretty good. Obviously a few busy bars around there. Can’t comment on the area by day as we left quite early and moved on. Overall it was fine for what we needed and just about worth the price. Polite staff. They did charge us the tax for our daughter who is only 15. My fault maybe, I should have pulled them up on it, perhaps didn’t realise how old she was and I only thought about it afterwards

Located in a short distance from the metro. Quiet room, clean and cool. The stuff was in general friendly. Nice little bakery next door, and they do welcome American Express card.

Very nice property in an excellent location. I was in Paris for a research trip and found this jewel through expedia. I stayed here for a week. Excellent, friendly staff, great breakfast, and overall a wonderful experience

We chose an economical hotel in Paris so we didn’t have high expectations for the amenities but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Staff are professional and always courteous. Plenty of hot water for showers and a convenient elevator. We didn’t take the breakfast option so can’t comment on that but there is a wonderful bakery next door where we were able to grab a breakfast quiche, pain au chocolat and delicious sandwich for lunch. The hotel is quiet and beds very comfortable. Located close to the metro and in a safe walkable neighborhood. We highly recommend Hotel American!

The room is small but perfectly fine for our needs. We have been pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the daily tidying and changing of towels by staff. The shower works well and there’s always enough hot water. The view from our room window isn’t great but we don’t spend much time in the room so we’re ok with that. Staff have been helpful. We discovered a delicious bakery right next door which has added to our enjoyment of the hotel. The hotel is quiet and if there are other guests nearby we seldom hear them.

Great bakery right next door in very good location. Room comfort is good but typically small. Don’t rely on the Hôtel help with getting a taxi. The quote was $20 euros more than normal and $30 euros more than uber.

great location - republique metro stop a 2 min walk. They tell you a flat rate for a taxi to CDG is 85 Euros. Our Uber that we reserved the night before was 37 Euros.
