"Hotel staff are very friendly. "
First night get free upgrade and hotel room are very nice. Second night, requested to change to one single king size room, hotel staff is telling that everything in the new room is same as the current one except room key & coffee machine. End up, the entire design of the room is different. The room is old design, with old TV and you can hear lots of noise because the renovation works is running at the same floor. More importantly, all the accessories like toiletries are lower class. But it's alright. Overall experience are still good.

"Fantastic hotel with amazing service"
This has to be the best hotel I've stayed in in recent memory. Mainly because it was unlike any other 4 or 5 star hotel I've visited. We had a great view of the snow from our window and slept like babies.

"Great room and good view"
The hotel locates at beginning of the Otaru canal walkway. We can appreciate the view from the room. The hotel is 15-20 mins walking distance to food street, Music box museum. The weather is pleasant during our visit so walking is ok. The room is small when you put in 4 beds plus 2 cabin luggage. We did not shop so minimize packing space requirement. Parking is convenient with parking machine.

"Charming hotel overlooking the picturesque Canal "
It rained hard when we were there but the consolation was our spacious and clean room. It was very comfortable. The moment the rain stopped we had the chance to explore the canal which was just across the road.and take some lovely photos. Restaurants are a plenty there or else you can find other options on the way to the train station which is 10 minutes away on foot.

"Nakajima park makes everything even better."
From a short stay, I have nothing but good things to write about this western-style hotel. The staff were some of the most welcoming and helpful people I've met in my life. The room was spotlessly clean and didn't seem old as some of the reviews say. Even though I stayed in one of their cheap rooms, it was still a pleasant experience that I regret not staying for a few more nights. The location was a few stations, and on a different train line, from JR Sapporo. But I enjoyed my walk back and forth there, which crossed the lively Odori park and passed by a few shops and malls along the way. Nakajima park during my visit in springtime was unfortunately no longer in its peak state for flower viewing. A couple of sakura trees were still in full bloom but that's about it. However, I could imagine how beautiful the place must be especially in wintertime. I actually intend to revisit Sapporo, and will no doubt stay at this hotel again.

"Nice Ski hotel"
This is a Sheraton group hotel. It allows us to process the necessary documentation and kept our luggage even though the check-in is only at 1500 hours as compared to other Japanese hotels who would not even process our document. We have a nice experience in using the onsen facility and the room is nice and clean. The only shortfall is the number of restaurants. There are several restaurants which are closed limiting the choices of our dinner.

Otaru is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Otaru, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Otaru hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
