"Hotel staff are very friendly. "
First night get free upgrade and hotel room are very nice. Second night, requested to change to one single king size room, hotel staff is telling that everything in the new room is same as the current one except room key & coffee machine. End up, the entire design of the room is different. The room is old design, with old TV and you can hear lots of noise because the renovation works is running at the same floor. More importantly, all the accessories like toiletries are lower class. But it's alright. Overall experience are still good.

"The Best Hotel in Sapporo"
A very nice Hotel in Sapporo in a strategic location. The downside is probably its room price is the highest in town, and the concierge lady is not really helpfull when assisting reserving restaurant.

"Well priced hotel in Susukino"
The room is clean and quiet, compact, and room price included breakfast bread service provided in the cafeteria. Free WiFi was available on the ground floor (lobby and cafeteria) with charging points. Cigarette smell lingered in the common areas but did not effect the non-smoking hotel room. Staff are friendly and welcoming but understandably a little nervous around non-native language speakers. The room and bathroom are very small as its main patronage are travelling Japanese businessman, but still good value for the price.

"Nakajima park makes everything even better."
From a short stay, I have nothing but good things to write about this western-style hotel. The staff were some of the most welcoming and helpful people I've met in my life. The room was spotlessly clean and didn't seem old as some of the reviews say. Even though I stayed in one of their cheap rooms, it was still a pleasant experience that I regret not staying for a few more nights. The location was a few stations, and on a different train line, from JR Sapporo. But I enjoyed my walk back and forth there, which crossed the lively Odori park and passed by a few shops and malls along the way. Nakajima park during my visit in springtime was unfortunately no longer in its peak state for flower viewing. A couple of sakura trees were still in full bloom but that's about it. However, I could imagine how beautiful the place must be especially in wintertime. I actually intend to revisit Sapporo, and will no doubt stay at this hotel again.

"Old but well maintained hotel, convenience "
We were 3 travelers staying in one room for 2 nights at Hotel Emisia Sapporo. We found the hotel to be well maintained even though it is obvious that it's an old hotel. Carpet inside the room looked a bit run down but clean. Room was quite spacious for a Japanese standard hotel room. Bathroom was clean with average amenitites provided. Breakfast was excellent with lots of varieties to choose from. The most distinctive part of this hotel is the hotel staff. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. English is well spoken. The other advantage of staying in this hotel is the proximity of its location to the JR and subway stations with indoor shopping malls. Overall review and rating = 4.5/5. Will definitely return and stay at Hotel Emisia Sapporo.

A very pleasant stay and staff friendly and helpful. Room was modern and larger than expected and worth the price for a triple room. It could comfortably fit 4. Odori Park, Clock tower and the old govt buildings are all within walking distance. Highly recommended.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
