One of the first things I noticed when I arrived should have been addressed by Expedia and that was the construction. I should have been able to book somewhere else for the same price through Expedia but I had booked so far in advance it would have been a far shot. The rooms were clean but the halls were not due to the construction and the construction workers were the worse. They stayed in the rooms they worked on like guest and pounced on the continental breakfast almost every morning before the PAYING patrons had a chance. Outdoor trash cans regularly had several empty cases of Modelo tightly tucked in and the ambience felt more like the end of a bad party. The staff on hand was great but I soon realized with the almost all female staff and the complaints addressed and ignored that the owner isn't from the US. Why else would you jeopardize your business's reputation by allowing such conduct by the construction crew and ignore the women on your payroll? I'm only one in many with the same complaints, I read the other during my stay. My unsolicited word of advice would be if you don't care about your patrons don't get into this kind of business, build a prison.

This motel is old and run down

It’s about 2 steps above an hourly motel. Most of the occupants looked like individuals just getting by… with all their belongings in their vehicles and in front of the motel doors. I had to sign additional forms regarding deep fat fryers, cooking supplies, pets and daily inspections. The room we stayed in was just renovated and was nice and comfortable but they were out of soap so they gave us shampoo to wash our hands. They tried…and everything else was sold out in the area because of graduation from the university which is why we were in the area.
