"Great Peruvian chain with amazing & helpful staff"
This is a wonderful chain in Peru. Their service is amazing. We had a great time and this hotel held some of our luggage while we went to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley for a few days. During our return and second stay, we had learned of an upcoming strike that would affect our bus trip to Puno to see Lake Titicaca. Our bus had to leave the night before planned and we would arrive in Puno at 3AM. The staff worked with us and the hotel Tierra Viva in Puno so we had a place to stay when we arrived and also arranged for taxis to take us to the bus station as well as from the bus to the new hotel in Puno at 3 AM. They helped us deal with a very stressful situation and were happy to help us. The room itself was fine and the breakfast selection was quite large. I especially like that this chain gives us 2 bottles of water a day. It is a short walk to the main square so the location is perfect. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Excellent cozy stay at Urubamba"
We had an excellent experience at Intiñan hotel. I booked this hotel after reading all the reviews and how great hosts Vincent and Norma are. Our experience was as many had described earlier, we were treated like family and the hosts are absolutely wonderful people. On our first day we needed to go to the local market, Vincent and Norma drove us there and waited for us to do shopping. We stayed in the family bungalow. Our boys 14 and 9 really loved the house , the garden and most of all the family dog Kimbo. The bungalow has two bedrooms upstairs with a balcony. Living room and kitchen downstairs. Nice cozy place to stay in Urubamba for going to Pisaq and Ollantaytambo and taking a train to Machu Picchu. The hosts booked us a local English speaking driver and guide at a very reasonable price. He drove us to all local attractions for two days and we had plenty of time to explore. Much better than those 'professional' tours , which are much more expensive and don't give you enough time to explore. One point I would say is negative, the wifi. It's horrible. The speed is in kilo bytes ! They must get a better and faster system. Also note that the location is about 10 minutes away from town center so you need taxi for everything, which is very easily arranged and costs about 10 soles. When you look at the location on the map and coming from US you may assume the country road is a scenic beautiful road, but it is not. It is a totally non-touristy typical run down Peru road

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
