Everything was perfect, room, staff, premises etc. One thing to improve: checkout took longer than expected because there was only one hotel representative handling check-ins and check-outs. It took me more than 20 minutes to check out.

From Gracia outside the door who assigns divers to each of the doormen to each at front desk - especially Darwin, but Valerie and Karoline as well, Jose, Alberto and bartender Jesus. Let me put it like this; if I was opening a hotel in Lima I would recruit each of them at least!!!!! THEY are who make the hotel stand apart from others I've stayed at in Lima and elsewhere!!!!! Kudos to hotels HR!!!!!!!

Excelent hotel very kind staff, excelent confort, I Recommended and it's in a good location in the center of city near to plaza de armas at 5 minutes walking .
The hotel don't have free swimming pool, but have a little one and you have to pay for it because is part to the spa. And the massage maybe a little expensive.
But it's a excelent hotel have a excelent breakfast and nice staff.

Emerson and Jovar, our concierges, were excellent and extremely helpful and accommodating. Due to our intervening trip to Machu Picchu we actually needed to check-in and out twice in a short period of time and each time it was very smooth and quick. On our second stay they even gave us an upgraded room at no extra charge. They arranged several taxis for us and always let us know what the fare should be so that we weren't overcharged.

"Stay spoiled by a rain water leak and wet floor."
Although finally corrected by the hotel after a requested room relocation, (and a welcome upgrade), when we arrived, there was evidence of a pre-existing water leak into the allocated room and across the carpet. After two nights, further rain, and a failed attempt at repair, this was bad enough to result in a soggy wet carpet, wet feet, and the room's atmosphere becoming very damp. The room should not have been let in this condition.

We live in Arequipa and love to stay at the Libertador for an in-town getaway (with the help of good deals on Expedia!). Highlights: friendly & professional staff, ample park-like grounds, outstanding breakfast (with generous hours), well-appointed rooms, very comfortable beds, ideal location (close to downtown, but not IN it)... overall peaceful atmosphere. Our favorite rooms face the inside courtyard, as these are extremely quiet. We've had dinner in the restaurant a couple times and found the food and service to be excellent, but more expensive than equally good options downtown (La Trattoria del Monasterio being our favorite). (While I'm at it, I'll also recommend oCacao on Calle Palacio Viejo for fantastic Belgian chocolate treats and drinks.) Enjoy your stay in Arequipa. We love this city and its people.
