I booked a room for my soon-to-be father-in-law and chose the option for him to pay upon check in. I reserved it with my credit card however I had no intention of putting the charges on that card since he would be paying when he arrived from Arizona. Since I was getting married in two days I paid my caterer in full that day. Later in the afternoon I got noticed my card was declined twice. I quickly realized it must be the stay I had booked so I called them immediately. The man who answered the phone was “Gill” and he was very rude. He said he didn’t care what Expedia said, I either pay right now or he was canceling the booking. I explored to him that I was getting married and my father-in-law was coming out of state and it would be impossible to find a decent booking 24 hours before he arrives and he said he was canceling the booking if I didn’t pay “right now “. He told me to call Expedia to complain because that wasn’t his problem. I told him my son would have to get his credit card and once again told him I didn’t understand how he is refusing to honor the terms from Expedia. He hung up on me. I had to call back twice and provide him with a credit card to keep the booking. This is the first and only time I have ever been treated so disrespectfully. Another friend of mine stayed in another cabin of theirs and said it was filthy, they even found 2 half eaten chicken nuggets behind the soap dispenser. They refused to stay there past one night and left.

The motel was just what we needed, nothing more. It was in a convenient location with a very small room for the night. We didn't need extra amenities and this place doesn't really have extras. The bed is really cheap and noisy, the room is a bit dingy and home-made, the property is overgrown and the walls are thin; but we were able to park our motorcycle right outside the room and well away from the street. There won't be random people walking by. The view from our room was fantastic. There was coffee in the room and clean bedding/towels. So with the proper expectations this place was perfect! The saloon across the street was also perfect! I highly recommend this motel under the right conditions for you. It's not a Hilton.

Terrible stay. Dirty room, insects on towels, spider in the sink. On the second night we found a snake in the shower, ants on the bed, and a mouse in the room. We left the hotel in the middle of the night. Completely unsafe. This was by far the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. When we arrived, the room was extremely dirty. There was a spider in the sink, and the towels were full of dead insects – we had to ask for clean ones. The sink clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned or disinfected. We had booked for two nights. On the second night, we went to take a shower and were horrified to find a snake in the bathroom. The front desk clerk came and removed it (dead), and we then realized the room had multiple animal traps inside. After the shower, ants started crawling on the bed – and then, to our shock, a mouse ran across the room. That was the final straw. Within minutes, we grabbed our things and left the hotel around 11 PM, desperately searching for another place to stay. This hotel is completely unhygienic and unsafe. Avoid at all costs.

Place was dirty. Front door was not fitted properly. Ants issues. Toilet was wobbly. Beds were too soft. Shower head was not connected. Curtains were old and not covered correctly. For $149 a night was a ripoff!

The advertisement for this facility was inaccurate and deceptive. There is a pool available at the main facility ~10 miles away. The balcony was falling apart. The worst part was they had double booked and was not available. I walked into the building to find the other family’s possessions still in the cabin. When they showed up it turned out the cabin they had reserved had dead rodents in it and that the double booked cabin the toilets didn’t even work right.

The place was infested with ants. Definitely did not have a good view. Outdoor chairs were nasty. There were no screens for the windows. The air conditioning unit was so loud it sounded like a rocket ship was in our room. The tile was so poorly placed I was genuinely scared of stubbing my toe. There were brown stains on the bed… very scary and weird. Anyway, Oakhurst is probably the worst place to stay. Undeveloped town and weird people that come with it. The stores in the town smell like fish. Even though it’s nowhere close to an ocean. Anyway, I don’t care how poor you are. Don’t stay in this place. I was just glad my girlfriend and I didn’t die:) we used a really old raggedy white chair to barricade the door. This is with all harm intended. I hope this place shuts down.

May be cheaper than the big name chains, but not quite worth the price we paid. It has charm but needs a good amount of work to justify the price. Here’s what I think must be done. - [ ] Get an Electrician-fix the water heater breaker. No one should have to take a cold shower. Move the outlet behind the nightstand higher up so electronics may be charged. Get microwave checked. Smelled something burning when heating water. - [ ] Get a clock. - [ ] Install a wall lamp over the nightstand preferably one with a USB port. - [ ] Fix ac-too loud and rattly. Kept us awake - [ ] Get a dresser with room for a few suitcases. We had to put all 4 of ours on the floor. Look for used hotel furniture sales. - [ ] Get a suitcase stand which is standard for hotels. You can find good used ones online. - [ ]] Get the floor and flooring fixed. - [ ] Get blackout curtains or blinds behind existing curtains for window facing courtyard. Too bright at night - [ ] Get more towel bars for bathroom. One is not enough. Maybe a couple double hooks would work. - [ ] Since there is no closet rod, get a wall mounted hook strip with at least 5 hooks on it. - [ ] Put a double hook on the back of the bathroom door. There is no where to hang clothes when showering in such a small space. - [ ] Get a larger trash can. The one you provide belongs in a bathroom. Get an office size one. -[ ] Clean the coffee maker and fridge Thoroughly!! Also get some shelves in the fridge.

Room was falling apart. Smelled bad (strong odor from air conditioner) lots of potato chips and things behind couch (can see when made into a bed) door coming of hinges so have to lift it to try to close and lock, a tile coming off the wall. Was a pet allowed room so maybe they have non pet ones in better shape. Bed was comfortable but sheets and towels were stained

Poorly maintained facility, missing casing on door frame, door improperly sealed to literal wilderness 5 feet away *asking for rodents and infestations, rodent droppings in closet on floor, dead bugs in bed sheets, other people’s hair left on sheets, cigarette burn on blanket, stained bed sheets and pillow cases, head board of bed stained and yellowed, bathroom mirror literally falling off wall, the bed frame felt like it was falling apart anytime you moved an inch. I cannot stress how gross. The only reason I completed my night here was because I literally drove five and a half hours to visit the national park.
