I always have an excellent stay here. Clean rooms and nice staff.

I had no idea that this hotel had almost no staff onsite. The check in/out is virtual and doesn’t even work correctly. If a really helpful maid hadn’t been there I don’t know how I would have gotten into my room. The place is very clean but totally rundown. The door to the patio off of my room didn’t even have a working lock. Someone could have easily climbed a wall and walked right into my room. I would not stay here agin.

Upon checking in, the staff was friendly. Check in at 4pm vs 3pm as other hotels allow was done for us br seemed late for getting freshened up and ready to go out and enjoy the town. Our room, which was a suite, smelled of dog. The sofa, which hosted a pull out bed whch my child was going to sleep on, had stains on it and did not smell good. We figured we wouldn't make a big deal because we were only staying one night.The bathroom which was big and beautiful was dirty. There was either makeup or something on the baseboards and walls and someone had wadded up a big hunk of toilet paper and threw it up to stick it on the ceiling. The room only had one towel but I walked down the hall and asked the staff for more which she was happy to provide me additional towels. Overall, for one night, it was fine. The building itself is beautiful and historic and interesting The bathroom and room were nicely appointed but as a "high-end" inn, it was not as clean and inviting as other hotels we had stayed in at different portions of our trip which were definitely less expensive.

We had a lovely stay at the Oakhurst Inn. The staff was extremely helpful, the room was comfortable. Very close to the the UVA campus, and it's a quick Uber ride or drive to the downtown mall. Highly recommend!

Very cute small hotel that is reasonably priced! The rooms were bigger than we expected, and it was great having access to the pool at their sister location on the UVA campus. Would stay here again if I were in Charlottesville.

Need more outlets near bed. More storage in bathroom for toiletries needed. We were located on 1st floor & heard lot of noises from ceiling & walls including whole conversations & intimate activities from next door guests. Have stayed in more quiet hotels. Cleanliness, room size & storage & staff were really good. Housekeeping did good job all 3 nights of our stay.

Please adhere to the signs “Don’t feed the Deers”. Once 1 advanced the others came very close 1 his head on the picnic table, the other stuck his head in the door of the villa as I was trying to close it. Due to the folks next door literally laid out a full buffet ! That extended to my patio.
