"Good overnight stop in Northumberland"
Located right on the A1 about 12 miles north of Alnwick. First room we were given had some minor defects but the reception were able to transfer us promptly to a better room with beautiful views over the countryside and coast. Ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both were tasty and excellent value for money. There was a petrol station adjacent for snacks and supplies. Great location to base if ever touring around Northumberland. Would definitely recommend.

All excellent except that the sea trout was overcooked and, therefore, ruined. My husband left it all. However, the kippers were delicious.

"An Unbelievably Quaint Step Back in Time"
The staff and hotel were wonderful. As an old Coach Inn, the d├ęcor is a step back in time and the Inn is warm, inviting and extremely comfortable! It's right in the heart of the village and "walk to or quick ride" close for the Gardens, Tree House and Castle. The staff was extremely helpful and the restaurant exceptionally good and wonderfully decorated with paneling from the Titanic's sister ship the Olympus.

Only stayed one night, so can not really write an extensive, nor a particularly informative report. However, we can describe our stay as been a pleasant experience. We especially enjoyed the breakfast the following morning, which was very tasty and well presented. The breakfast could also be described as been good value for money.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying here before so we do know the hotel. The reason we returned, and will do so again, was the experience of our first stay. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well maintained. The food is beyond comparison. Definitely to be recommended.

"Lovely hotel."
Glamping: Great fun! With the facilities to have a BBQ, or even just a bonfire, the glamping area would be great for a group of people. Sat slightly back from the hotel means that the crackling of the fire shouldn't interfere with the sleep of the hotel residents. The Gypsy Rose was incredibly cute and made for a great experience. Hotel: The hotel room was beautiful. With a theme that made me reminiscent of staying at my Grandmother's (in a good way), the Hayloft room was a georgeous place to relax after a busy day seeing the sights. The only problem is getting yourself out of the comfortable bed in the morning for breakfast. To improve: It was difficult to find somebody to help us; once or twice I had to ring whilst in reception. Being more readily available could make this better. Only one slice of bread, predominantly buns, available for myself and my girlfriend at breakfast. I am sure that this is not normal however. Overall: A great stay and I would definitely come back again for both the glamping and the room. Quirky, comfortable and cute.

"Exceeded our expectations."
Had a small family re-union and selected this hotel for location and because of good reviews. The hotel is lovely and location great, the rooms are large, comfortable and for once my wife did not complain about the lack of lay-down area in the bathroom. The bathroom was very good, but lack of a separate shower might not be to everyones' taste. No A/C, but this is north-east coast so would be fantastic to ever need it! The staff are really of the highest calibre right throughout the hotel. The hotel is terrific value for money and if we are int the area again we'll be back.

North Charlton is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in North Charlton, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your North Charlton hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
