Easy to walk to a near by restaurant for dinner. Lots of parking available. We were given a family room which was actually two connecting rooms which also meant we had two bathrooms which was a bonus!

Don’t book here if you want a good nights sleep without traffic noise, a fresh loo roll and shower taps that work, and toilet cistern that doesn’t refill all night long. Shocker.

Hotel Saint Jacques
Clean room but basic, in need of some modernisation. Breakfast was basic too, but served a purpose. Location in parthenay was good! And parthenay itself is a lovely place to stay.

The Originals Boutique, Hôtel La Grange
The lighting in the room was limited, and the corridors were dark, giving an overall depressing feature. Despite advertising a restaurant, there was wasnt one for eveing meals!! Breakfast however was good.

Nice spacicous rooms. One problem was the heat. No aircon. The outside temperature was particularly hot, 39°C. The room fan helped but other areas were extremely warm. Still like this hotel and will stay again in the future.

We stayed for 2 nights in October. The mobile home was basic but perfectly adequate - the only downside was the lack of mugs/tea cups - only tiny espresso cups! The campsite is very well maintained and the walk around the lake is beautiful. We would certainly return if we wanted to stay in the area ...
