Staff was amazing and the room was excellent.

We absolutely loved this resort. It is GORGEOUS and very well maintained! It is right on the beach. Which is in a nice cove so it was really calm and the sand was soft. Lots of hermit crabs to play with at night time! The food was amazing! We ended up loving the main buffet and the Italian buffet the most. Steakhouse was hard to get into but worth going at least once. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pools were great. We went to a couple shows and had a fun time. We didn't have young kids but they had a lot of stuff for the kids. Our kids are older teens and had a blast.

Excellent stay, different mindset, of a luxury guesthouse with residences vs a typical international-standard hotel. Once inside your residence apartment, you will find a generous combination of materials, marble, natural wood fortitude, luxury ceramics, and fully equipped kitchen off of a decor magazine. The hotel pool bar is the only hang out area, where you get everything from your breakfast to afternoon drinks (no other meals offered). The hospitality is fantastic at the property—the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable, our room was upgraded, and the spa service was perfect. Where secrets can improve is the cleanliness and the upkeep of the rooms and property. It definitely seems a little dated for its rating, and the sofa and chair in our room was stained in a way that we didn’t want to sit in them. It was nice to have a quiet pool and a party pool but the water in both were so hot it felt like bathwater. We were also disappointed in the food quality and the lack of Costa Rican dishes on any of the menus.

Lovely place in a great location. Room was comfortable. Staff was super friendly. Food was great. Music was a little loud.
