Best Hotel On Our Trip!

This hotel was one of the best stays we had on our recent trip to Germany! The service was great and the staff was outstanding. The location was super, close to the train station and within walking distance of tour connections. We highly recommend this venue! We will go back next time we are in Germany.

Big rooms,

We loved this hotel. The rooms were massive compared to other rooms we stayed in while in Europe. The area around the hotel is nice. We liked the pizza restaurant at the end of the block. The continental breakfast was good and had both American and German favorites available.

This hotel is more like a Motel, no service at all, no one to assist with our luggage, someone manning the reception is the only service provided. Marriott seems to use this awful mattress toppers which overflow from the sides and takes shape where middle of the bed sinks in, not helpful if you have a back problems. I asked them if they could change my mattress to a more firmer mattress, they said no however offered to move me into another room which had the same type of mattress and mattress topper. I asked if they could remove the mattress top, they said yes however when we got back to our hotel late afternoon, mattress top wasn’t removed, went to reception to ask, I was told housekeeping went home. I went to my room and removed the topper myself. Very poor selection of goods for breakfast, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, 3 types of fruit, 3 types of bread, few cereals. No teaspoons , when asked they told me they run out of teaspoons because they only have few of them and to use tablespoons to mix my coffee, had to ask for serviettes couple of times because they had run out of it. Am surprised that this establishment has Marriott brand and lowers the brands standards. I do not recommend this place and will not stay here again.

We stayed in a family room which was very large (seperate bedroom and a longer/kitchen). The sofabed was the biggest and most comfortable I've ever seen. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety. The lifts are very small though and can clog up around checkout time. Also, you have to ask for simple things like toilet paper and soap. Only very minor irritations though. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Our main problem with this Hotel is that we have an Airpod stolen from the room. We put a no-disturb sign on the five days we stayed at the hotel except for one. We found out that someone had entered the room to remove the garbage. After we left we noticed that the Airpods are missing. We reported it, but were told that the cleaning staff did not find it and nothing could be done. The person at the reception was very rude, told us that we have to report it to the police and shut the telephone, although we were already out of Germany. Our advice is to be careful to lock up everything. The staff at this hotel are not to be trusted.

No on-site parking as advertised so it was a shocker upon arrival that there’s no parking. There’s a parking garage next door connected to the shopping center that charges 30 euro maximum daily rate but it does close nightly through morning so you may be locked in if you want to get an early start before 8am. Walking distance to the Weise for Oktoberfest and noisy if windows are open but closed windows blocked out noise pretty good. Decent kitchenette with stove and dishwasher and fridge that comes in handy. Good spread of breakfast. Still not a fan of the half door to the shower/tub but no water mess on floor post shower. Great location.
