I ended up in the emergency room. I was unable to make my trip. I called the property all morning until 10:45am but no one would answer so I emailed and let them know my situation. I received an email from Emily, signed as Blufftop Management at 7:15pm that said she was sorry about my situation and since I paid through Expedia she was not in control of the charge. I contacted Expedia to see if there was any way to get a refund as the emergency medical situation was out of my control and they said they would contact Blufftop to get approval for the refund. Expedia contacted me frequently to keep me in the loop and the reps were sympathetic to my situation. I felt like they were truly my advocates and I appreciate that. Blufftop would not budge on their cancellation refund policy. So not only is no one answering their phones but their management lies to push issues on to someone else. I live nearby so I frequently have opportunities to come to California and had they been flexible i would have returned the favor by staying there next time. They chose not to show kindness. Would not recommend just based on service.
