Our check in was simple and our room was ready around 1pm which was perfect . Our junior suite was lovely. Would have preferred a separate bedroom but did realise that junior suites normally are just bigger rooms. Balcony was great with fabulous views with the right weather over the lake. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of wardrobe space with hangers and importantly trouser & skirt hangers. Wi fi was great and a very informative desk was very useful. Very happy overall and would definitely return.

Reception staff was very hospitable and kind. I'd skip the massage. I got one and it was disappointing. Property is older but still nice. The breakfast was expensive to add on to our stay and when i looked at the spread in the morning i was so glad i didn't add it on. Just basic underwhelming stuff. Room was decent.

I fully recommended this hotel. I have a fabulous time walking around lake Geneva. The hotel is in prime area, the staff is friendly and professional. It is a 5 star hotel with a reasonable rate.

Ok but smoking smell

Old school and old building. Excellent location and views, spacious rooms, fine service. The amenities were ok. The main issue is smoking. A non smoking hotel that hands out matches in every room, what do you think it’s going to happen? If you’re a smoker it’s for you. For me it was always an exercise in opening the windows to get the smell out of the room and close them quickly when the suicidal monkey next door smoked in their balcony

Room was booked for three persons and extra paid. However the room was not set up and linen, bedding and towels not initially provided persons for three persons I would have expected a slightly better service bearing in mind the premium paid for booking this hotel. Otherwise a good hotel to stay

We had a lovely 3-night stay at the Royal Plaza Montreux. It was an easy walk from the Montreux station (also easy to get a taxi if you have a lot of luggage and don’t want to walk). We walked to the Christmas market, which was wonderful! It was also an easy walk to the shopping district, which had tons of shopping and restaurants. In addition, the bus was super easy to use, goes right by the hotel, and takes you to shopping as well as Chillon castle. The hotel breakfast on the main floor was lovely, with plenty of options. The hot buffet on the lower level was also very good with a ton of options. But perhaps the best thing was the gorgeous view of the lake and the mountains from the hotel lobby!
