You get what you pay for with this place. It was in a very convenient location and the two staff members at the front may seem cold, but once you speak to them, they are friendly. The room was cleaned, but because of the age of the hotel, everything was stained (rugs, mattress, shower curtains). It does look like they wiped all the surfaces before I came here, but the mattress and shower curtains look like they need to be replaced. This room was the cheapest room I could find - by far. There were single rooms with shared bathrooms in houses far from downtown Montreal that cost a lot more. If you want a nice clean place that is in the best parts of Montreal, you have to be willing to pay more.

Hotel was in a perfect location. Room was somewhere to sleep. Hotel staff were okay except for 1. He was not pleasent and accussed my husband of smoking weed in our room. We were also right next to an emergency exit which led to a parking lot and the door wasnt fully closed. Who's smoking weed? Love the all day coffee though. I would stay again regaedless of the grumpy front desk guy

Perfect spot for young people looking for a fun location at a fair price. Located on a bustling, pedestrian-only street where practically every building is a unique bar or restaurant. The area has tons of live music. Easy access to the rest of the city as well with transit so close. Room was fairly small and simple but still perfectly comfortable for 2 people. Don’t expect glamour but very worth the price!

Convenient location; on the "cheaper" side of the price spectrum in the area, but even at that price, a certain lack of maintenance (power plugs, tiling in bathroom, dirty carpets, chipped furniture, defectuous lighting). Rooms are centrally air conditioned (no individual control in the rooms). It might smell smoky at times (smoking is supposedly prohibited in the rooms). Bathrooms are clean, and bed decent. Surprisingly quiet at night, eventhough it is located on a pedestrian street with la lot of restaurants and outdoor terrasses.

The hotel and room were old and poorly kept up. The hallway carpets are disgusting and look like they’ve never been cleaned. The bed had a big crevice on one side that my partner was sinking into. The location was the only redeeming feature of this hotel.

I had higher hopes for this hotel, it’s not bad if you just need a place to sleep and shower, but there’s nothing else to really do in the hotel. The “coke machine” they have is just a water and juice dispenser. I stayed 9 nights but I don’t think I’d return to this hotel.
