The hotel is located at a perfect location near of place de arts and Montreal Jazz festival venues only 8 minutes walk, we love it, the staff is amazing above and beyond, the spa included super nice sauna and steam shower, the super expresso machine for coffee available all day is a plus and also the pastry. Love the entire property eco friendly and modern at the same time. Next time we come to Montreal definitely stay at Boxotel again.

I had an absolutely amazing stay here. I travel a lot, and I can honestly say it’s the most quiet hotel stay I’ve ever had. I heard no one in the halls, outside was quiet …amazing. The people who run it are so friendly and personable, the roof top area is lovely. The blanket was also by far the best hotel blanket I’ve ever used! Comfy, clean, just all around pleasant. Area was fine to walk at night, train station is a reasonable walk as well as a lot of dining options in the area. I 100% will be back, thank you guys for the lovely stay!

This was billed as a 4star - which I feel is a bit overstated. I would suggest this is a 3-3.5 star -max. Regardless Rooms was spacious and features-quality bedding, the furnishings were a bit worn and the bath products were similar to a 2 star hotel. Location- area was pretty rough - a lot of folks asking for money and drinking on the street. If this was a 3star my rating would be a 5. Does not really meet the standard of a 4 star -No premium services similar to a 4’star (no Concierge services, 24-hour room service, vale etc)

Unique property with minimal staff(by design) but those present were excellent and very helpful. Staff Nabil was amazing! Room was large, clean, and equipped with everything needed from laundry to kitchen items. Bed was comfy and patio was nice. The bathroom has glass walls but still very nice. Will definitely return again!

Incredibly equipped. Purposeful design from the front door to the patio spa and everywhere in between. Staff were so gracious and helpful. Chia seed for breakfast was chefs kiss. Sauna and Turkish steam spa were fabulous - clean, peaceful and well maintained. Room was incredibly equipped with dishwasher laundry and the fastest chilling fridge I ever came across. Everything you’d need was in the kitchen and yet everything felt minimalistic. Absolutely loved our stay here. Would come back again and again.

This is not a hotel. It's an apartment block. It's a great apartment block. But it's not a hotel. So it doesn't have the things I'd wanted from a hotel: quick check-in, staffed 24 hours, restaurant, bar, cafe, room service, late checkout, centrally located in a busy area. This would be great for a long term stay but not for a one night business traveller. So I was disappointed, especially because at $260 per night, it was priced as a high end hotel

Loved our stay at this boutique hotel. The staff were warm and helpful. The hotel was nicely decorated and our room was everything we could have hoped for. It was nice having a fridge, freezer kitchen area. The room was the perfect size for 2 people, and the layout worked really well. The bathroom was spacious and I loved having dimmed lights option. The attention to detail made our stay extra special. The only thing I was a bit disappointed by was the continental breakfast. There were good food options, apples, mandarins, muffins, mini pastries, cheese and yogurt. My issue was with the coffee machine, it was out of milk so I wasn’t able to make milk based espresso drinks. In the grand scheme of things this is a small thing. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others!

Spacious rooms and a warm welcome

I had a lovely stay at Boxotel in May 2025. The rooms are very spacious and have a full kitchen and I also had a balcony. One thing to look out for is that they will send you a text message with your code to enter the main entrance and your room itself. I did not receive the text as I had switched to a Canadian SIM card. No problem though as the man on reception quickly let me in and even allowed me to check in early as I'd arrived a couple of hours ahead of the check in time. The hotel is conveniently located to the east side of the city with metro stops nearby but downtown is only a 20 minute walk away.

The room was beautiful and the bathroom was lovely and spacious. However hottub was closed and when we asked staff was informed it stated in line which was not accurate. The sauna was not working and we could not locate staff to support us with the sauna. When staff were available they were very friendly and lovely.
