Monticello Vacation Packages

We just needed a comfy place for passing through for an evening after biking the Arkansas Delta Heritage Trail. This was perfect for that!

Everything brand new smells good rooms everything new perfect breakfast good bacon turkey sausages omg

For the price, I was expecting something on the lines of the Peabody, but Cotton House was nowhere close to the Peabody's quality. The room was spacious and fairly clean; some dust areas were probably left because of the rush between check-out and early check-ins. The Keurig was dusty where the pod was supposed to go. The weather turned cool, but I could not shut off the air conditioner or raise the temperature enough for it to cycle on and off. Lunch of grilled cheese and tomato bisque was adequate, but breakfast of toast and coffee did not meet my expectations. The coffee was weak, and the restaurant had only flavored Coffee Mate.

Friendly and helpful.

Promised room not available; meager fare for breakfast (no fresh fruit, real half-n-half, hot water for instant oatmeal, only 2 single-serving cold cereal) no extra toilet tissue in room and needed to ask for facial tissue and shower curtain. Staff was the only good thing about the place.

If I’m being honest, I feel like we were completely catfished by the photos of the hotel. The photos showed a beautiful, modern industrial style hotel and the reality is I never found the rooms they must have photographed for the photos. The lobby looked tired and barely had any furniture in it. They had a make shift snack station with what looked like some Amazon shelves they threw in a corner. Same goes for the breakfast buffet area. It was a complete make shift breakfast station where things were just set out on a couple counters with no rhyme or reason to it and then tables just pushed into this tight space. The hotel rooms looked beautiful in the photos, but in reality they weren’t very clean or well maintained/kept up with. It was disappointing to say the least for the amount of $ we ended up forking out for the weekend.

The check in window wasn’t clean: Dirty, spider webs, cigarette butts, etc. The bedsheets and bedspread had cigarette burn holes and cuts on them. The sink faucet needs replacing. The bathtub had cigarette burns on it. The bathtub mat was sticky, stained and stuck to the bathtub. The toilet seat was loose. The room didn’t have a good smell. I’m glad I had my Lysol spray to spray the bed and room. There wasn’t a clothes hook or clothe rack to hang my clothes on. They have a sign up “No Refunds” so I couldn’t ask for a refund to go to another motel or hotel. Please notify the Health Department for a major and thorough inspection.
