Great Location and they have done some work to update the rooms. I felt the bed was too firm but it was clean. The floor and blinds seemed dirty. Breakfast was lacking but the waffles were good. Overall, we got what we paid for and we enjoyed the stay.

The room smelled clean from the moment we opened the door. It was a little small for 2 adults and a toddler, but it’s expected for the bay area. Our room was very warm and the AC was not super cold. They had breakfast but depending on the day, sometimes they would have eggs and other days they didn’t. It was really close to the beach, gas station, Denny's, and even a Walmart. We stayed for 5 nights so it was very affordable.

I felt like I was in an over priced Motel 8. The electrical plugs were practically non existent. The room was tiny. The breakfast was a motel 8 carb load . No laundry facilities. We stayed 2 nights and on the sidewalk in front of our room were dirty sheets and were there when we left 2 days later. Not worth the money

Room was not the most clean. But it had to do. Not super appealing. Pulled down the blinds and there was a fly. Microwave was missing a plate. Rust in shower. Multiple flies appeared from somewhere throughput our stay. Trash outside the room near the stairwell. Leaking AC on the outside of the room. Fridge was not plugged in, im assuming it didnt work because it stunk when i opened it. Chair was dirty as it if had some sort of dirt on it. Little bits of trash next to the bed behind the bedside table. I think there was a huge lack of attention to detail my whoever cleaned. The baseboards were dirty. I could tell that the room wasnt mopped well enough because my socks were brown on the bottom. TV was large which was nice, bedding was comfortable and breakfast was good, but overall not a good enough stay to come back again. The fact that i could look around the room at Multiple spots where it just hadnt been cleaned was so unappealing.

The AC was extremely loud. Brought the issues to the attention of the staff. Made no attempt to accommodate. Showed them a video in which the AC woke us up Housekeeping did not come to replacw towels etc. Lightening in bathroom is horrible. For the amount of the money spent was not worth it. Will be contacting the corporate office to escalate

First impression , looks weather from the ocean mist and passage of time. Offers a lovely “beach cottage” feel. Walk through the neighbouring resort to the ocean, enjoy the tea room, and great hall for meals.

The locking latch on the door was broken and the dead bolt didn't work, we were moved to a different room which seemed better but there were a few little tiny roaches in there. There also seemed to be some remodeling of the common area happening. The beach is 5 minutes walk from the hotel or less than a minute drive. The beds were comfortable but we didn't have enough towels, we were unsure how to get more but mom brought an extra from home. Front desk man was helpful. We started our day early so we didn't take advantage of the free breakfast. We're ok with our stay, every place has its challenges, we just needed a place to shower and sleep while visiting Monterey.

The only thing that was nice is that the bed was comfortable. What we didn't like is that the property is very rundown. Spa not even operational. Didn't even see a "fitness room" like the website described. When we walked into the room it smelled so strong of "Lysol" cleaner that we were almost asphyxiated. The floors were sticky because most likely not rinsed well after mopping. The curtains were old, dingy, and outdated. The room had a bathtub but no stopper. No mini coffee maker in the room like the website described.

Dissapointed

The first room we were given was horrible. The floor was not clean, there were dead bugs on the floor, there was only one bath towel, there was no microwave, the refrigerator was out of order and left a terrible smell when I opened it, the phone was not working, and there was no fire detector in the ceiling. The wires were hanging out. We complained and were given another room. The second room had a leaking toilet. There was water on the floor. By that time it was late and we wanted to go to bed. In the morning I had to put a towel on the bathroom floor because it was wet from the leak. Both rooms did not feel clean. It is less than a one star. Was not worth the money and would not recommend.
