We had a great experience staying at Colton Inn during our trip to Monterey. The location is perfect — just a short walk to downtown, restaurants, and close to Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf. It made getting around super easy. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The beds were cozy, and we appreciated the private balcony for some fresh air. Parking was convenient and included, which is a huge plus in Monterey. The complimentary breakfast was simple but good — enough to start the day before exploring. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, great value for the location and comfort. Would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean and the staff friendly. Unfortunately, the wifi kept dropping (despite them resetting the router) so I couldn't work there in the morning. Also note that the heater has a bright light, so for those who are light sensitive when they sleep, they should cover it with a T-shirt or something.

I recommend staying here if you are visiting Monterey. It is close to downtown, and the area is quiet. The continental breakfast was delicious.

The front staff was nice and friendly. The continental breakfast was convenient. There's lots of parking. The room was spacious and the fireplace is a nice touch. There were a few stray hairs, but it was clean otherwise. We appreciated the separate heater since there was no central HVAC. It's a bit dated, but very solid. The location is great since it's so close to downtown and old fisherman's wharf. There are lots of great restaurants and bakeries within a 10 or 15 minute walk.
