Clean hotel. Room was clean. Staff really friendly. Breakfast is same in the 2 hotel we stayed. Eggs toast juice coffee machine and fruit and pastries. Im used to good air conditioning so in that case doesnt seem like most of the hotels ac units can keep up or are limited to a certain fan speed. Maybe have floor fans as an option to guests.

Very nice middle tier property within easy walking distance of the train station. Public areas were clean and the staff friendly and attentive. Rooms were quiet but in need of some maintenance and updating.

Hotel felt a little shabby and in need of renovation. The walls between the rooms are paper thin so take earplugs. There were two front desk staff - one was nice and helpful, the other not. Location is very convenient and easy walking to the center of town. Breakfast is not great.

We were disappointed with our stay from the outset. As older travellers arriving from the other side of the world with heavy luggage, it was challenging to find our room on the third floor with no lift available. While staff kindly assisted us with our bags on arrival, there was no help offered when we checked out, which made departure quite difficult. The room itself was lacking several basic amenities. The cupboard intended for a fridge was empty, and there were no glasses, cups, or a kettle provided for making tea. Although there was a coffee machine, two pods were supplied along with a single small plastic espresso cup, which felt insufficient. The hotel is also located some distance from town, and it would have been helpful to have maps or public transport information available to assist guests in getting around. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the TV included Netflix, which allowed us to relax in the evenings with a couple of good movies. Overall, while there were some good aspects, the lack of essential amenities and practical support made the stay less enjoyable than expected.

The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful throughout my stay — even those who didn’t speak English did their best to assist. Negatives The do-not-disturb sign I left on the door most mornings seemed to be ignored several times. The reception shown on the website looks nothing like the actual entrance to the hotel, which was confusing on arrival. The Wi‑Fi in my room was essentially unusable; I was given different explanations by staff, but it really affected my evenings when I just wanted to relax online. There’s no lounge or bar area to sit in, which felt quite unusual for a hotel. One evening I heard a guest’s dog barking, and overall the noise levels were high — single‑glazed windows and poor sound insulation meant I could hear a lot from outside and neighbouring rooms. The bathroom was extremely small, barely enough space to turn around, and the basin didn’t have a plug, so everything had to be done with running water. Positives The location is excellent — close to the railway station and only a short walk from the centre of Modena. The staff were consistently friendly and genuinely tried to help wherever they could. Breakfast was fine, though the variety was limited and there was no hot food.
