From the moment we arrived, we were hit with a strong mildew smell in our room, which persisted throughout the night despite trying to air it out. The air conditioning system did not function properly, leaving the room hot, humid, and extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, the room was visibly dirty and felt neglected, hardly the standard one would expect from a resort claiming to offer a high-end experience.
The problems extended well beyond the room. The resort pool, towel stand, music, and pool bar all closed at 5:00 p.m., which is frankly unacceptable for an adults-only all-inclusive resort. We were shocked to find that the main areas intended for relaxation and enjoyment essentially shut down before the evening even began. It felt more like we were in daycare with a strict curfew than a Caribbean resort catering to adults. This completely undermined the purpose and appeal of booking an adult-only experience—there was nothing adult or accommodating about it.
We also encountered a disturbing number of gnats swarming around food and drinks at the lobby bar, raising serious hygiene concerns. Even more alarming were the two separate guest altercations we witnessed at bars on the property, which made us feel completely unsafe. These incidents, combined with the overall poor condition of the resort, created an environment that was anything but relaxing.
