This resort was fine. I’ll just say that when we arrived the room wasn’t ready. The room they gave us was leaking from the ceiling. They changed the room and it was okay. Great view! No roaches in the rooms which is great!!!

We were selected to receive an upgrade from Bahia Principe Grand to the Bahia Principe Luxury side for our 5-day visit from 4/16/25 - 4/21/25. The rooms and grounds were beautiful, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed our stay until our 4th day, a Sunday, when we realized our bathroom ceiling had an active leak, flooding the floor and damaging some of our personal items. We immediately called the front desk and were told they would send maintenance staff to attend to the leak. We called the front desk again almost two hours later because no one from maintenance had responded. Finally, about 5-6 hours later, a maintenance person and another staff person came to check out the leak and flood. They explained that the leak was related to the jacuzzi from the room above us. They seemed nonchalant about it, telling us that someone would come on Monday to take another look at it. That didn't help us since we were checking out on Monday, 4/21/25. Upon checkout, my husband spoke to the front desk staff and asked what they could do to make this right. We were told we could email customer service at customerservicebpjam@bahia-principe.com to explain our situation. I emailed them and explained thoroughly, including the fact that some of our personal items had been water damaged. I received an emailed response stating that there is nothing they will do since "we already had been given an upgrade." This was a disappointing end to an otherwise pleasant visit.

The reason why i am giving 1 star on property condition and facilities is because the AIR CONDITIONER was not working anywhere in the property more importantly in the room. I came to this resort to relax and rest from all the stress back from home and i wasnt able to do that. I was not able to sleep well the 3 nights i was there this is so frustrating i cant even begin to explain to you how hot it was inside the room and the restaurants. I dont deserve this i could have stayed home for memorial day weekend and save the expense. AWFUL with no A/C

I stayed at Bahia Resort for 7 nights. The quality of staff work was horrible. The rudest way of communication I have ever seen. Every single day we had problems with staff members. The beach is horrible, it was so small and with big rocks and it was impossible to swim. Just one thing which was good is kids club. Food was good but nothing special, almost everything the same every day. It was impossible to book ala cart restourabts because it was everything full

Property is massive, lots of walking to get around unless you get a cart driver. There are not frequent carts to around to assist. Some of the staff did not like to help or go beyond to satisfy the customers. For example my husband at breakfast ask for milk for his oat milk once we were seated, the waiter had the milk for coffee but scolded him for not getting it at the buffet area. It was very harsh. Many of the servers look upset to be in the line of service. Customers satisfaction is poor. Otherwise the property is impressive

The resort was very nice and had great food options. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The only thing is the lack of parking if you do have a car. If you’re parked along the line of the property, it can be a good walk to your vehicle.

I come to Jamaica every 3 months and I have stayed in many places and of those places at least 17 have been resorts. I also bring a group of 20 to Jamaica every February for the last 5 years. I chose BP because I was hoping I could check it out to bring the group. I was also hosting a friend for their birthday. I have never called down to a front desk ANYWHERE for more than some additional towels. At BP, I had to call down several times to complain/report. I am so disappointed. I thought this was going to be a great experience! Our room had a leak on day 1. I reported it and the girl behind the desk gave me a look like I was the problem and proceeded to ask me if the shower door was closed when it was in use. She did everything but roll her eyes. No one ever came and by day 5 we had to lay towels on the floor and one of the large ceiling tile was coming down along with water(I took pics) In addition, there was a stain on our sheets, the 4th day; it was the same stain from the 3rd day (from makeup) and we reported that the bed was made but not changed. No one ever came. We figured they didn’t care since we were leaving the next day. We slept on top of an extra blanket, because I was very tired of calling. There is so much more, but even this is taking up too much of my time. I need to book my trip to Jamaica for August. I hope BP gets it together. This location is NOT representing BP well. I stayed at the BP in Tulum and the DR with no problems.
