room cleaning

In general the hotel and stay were just fine. I was most disappointed when I came back to my room after visiting with a friend on my first day, that neither the bathroom had been cleaned nor the bed made. I had placed a " Do not disturb " sign on the door in the morning because I knew i was getting picked up at 10 am. I removed the sign when i left at 10:15 but they never came back to check it after I had gone. The breakfasts were good and I appreciated having coffee available during the day in the lobby.

It was a mediocre stay, but I would give it another chance. I stayed on the 1st floor and asked if I could not share a wall or floor with the next guest. The front desk gal said that she couldn't guarantee that. Well I had neighbors and they were not loud - but I could hear them talking very late in the evening. The wall are thin. Then in the morning, since I was on the 1st floor, I could smell the breakfast eggs creep into the room. It would explain why the room just had an "off" smell when I came in. I did use lysol to kill the smell. The beds were comfortable and the showers were nice. I wonder if I would have had a better stay on a top floor. Also - I'm not sure of the neighborhood. I didn't feel like it was weird - but security was very tight to get into this hotel.

We were impressed with the courtesy of the staff. There were high school boys there for the hockey tournament and she said if they were loud, just call the front desk. They were quiet and we never heard any noise. Breakfast was very good and they had a good variety of food. Room was clean and comfortable. Sidewalks were shoveled so they were safe.
